OK. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but a friendly diabetic just gave me a blood sugar test and it came out as 5.7 (Not sure what the number refers to) which is "dead normal."
Now, I thought that the purpose of a ketogenic diet was to do away with blood sugar? My assumption about the way this would affect me was that from now on I'd be "fueled" by fatty acids rather than glucose, so my blood sugar count would be as close to zero as makes no odds. Two options are possible: 1) I've got it wrong, so I need to go and read something else or 2) My ketosis isn't working right and I need to cut the remaining carbs. Any advice before I head to the Information Mountain again? |
