Just curious.
I drank a lot of water last night...I had 1/2 a very small orange and counted it at 40 cals but likely it was less...(but I have had a whole one before w/o issue) and was the only fruit. Ate protocol. I needed to up my calories because I was below 300 once dinner was prepard. So...I added what amounted to about 20 more asparagus spears which would have totaled 30 for the day. I steamed them and blended them into puree and divided them into 10 spear serving sizes. Can eating a puree (even though I know how many were in there) cause a very low loss? I only lost .2 this morning and with all the water I had last night I thought it would be more. Just curious! Also wonder if having the water late at night rather than throughout the day could do it? I had to be gone in the car most of yesterday and did not have access to a restroom like I would need if I drank my usual daily amount LOL But I got it in yesterday evening and night just the same. Purees always fill me up soooo much more than the actual veggie, but wonder if there is some reason not to have it that way. It is really the only way I like it if it does not have butter on it LOL Thanks! |

From reading others.. it may actually be the orange.. I eat steamed asparagus every day, and have lost 1 to 2 pounds a day.. I stick to strawberries and apples for my fruit.. I may try a lemon in a week or two.. I love oranges, but the sugar content is a tad higher.. So.. since foods react to all of us differently, it MAY be either or for you.. but in my case.. asparagus doesnt hurt my losses!

Thank you
![]() Well, I am actually bummed b/c it just may be the asparagus for me ![]() ![]() So, for the next few days I will go back to not eating asparagus and see what happens. I know I am just starting week 3 but I so wanted to have lost at least 5 more pounds by now since I am so big. Wow, that is what I was really hoping for! 1-2 lbs per day! Some days I only lost .4 or .6 or even .2 and once I had a gain of 1.2!! I think the gain may have been due to a very bad infection I had though. But, since then it has been very slow coming off. I am thrilled for you that it is working so perfectly for you! I know it must be such a grand feeling! Way to go ![]() Nonetheless, I will keep on and as long as I am heading in the right direction I will perservere and be content. Thank you! Sherri Well, I will drink a little more water today than usual and see if that helps tomorrow! From reading others.. it may actually be the orange.. Wow, I think that is wonderful that you eat the canned variety
![]() I have been eating fruit all along without issue...then when I got a yeast infection I stopped and things slowed down then, but likely from the infection. I had an apple yesterday but no asparagus and lost .6...was sure hoping for more to offset the couple of slow days but hopefully it will just keep going down. I am going to go a few more days without asparagus, then add it for 2 days and see what happens LOL Sure hope it was just a fluke b/c I love eating it pureed like a soup! Thanks, Sherri I eat canned asparagus every day - no issues even thou I know it's high in sodium - but I did have to give up the fruit as it was causing me to slow down on the scale |

That would be wonderful! I sure hope it was not the filling asparagus LOL
It is possible, then, that it was just timing/coincidence that I had not so great days only on the asp days...I should find out this weekend b/c I am going to have it again and see. Hope I can have my asp puree again! ![]() Thank you very much for the encouragement~~ Some days you lose more, some days less, some days not at all. It likely has nothing at all to do with asparagus or oranges or cabbage or chicken or beef or shrimp or anything else. It is just that some days you lose more and some days less. |
