painful calf muscle

My wife suffers from very painful cramps in her calf muscle when she is taking the HCG drops. She is drinking plenty of water and adding sufficient salt in her diet.

Can anyone help as it is preventing her from doing the diet.

Cramps are generally a sign of magnesium deficit - taking magnesium should not interfere with the diet....

I was also having severe leg cramps. Now I take a 99mg potassium pill and 250mg magnesium pill with dinner. I tried taking these in the morning, but still had the cramps at night. Taking them with dinner seemed to helped me...hope it helps your wife!

I'd give the same recommendation as bingal78, potassium and magnesium. It is probably the potassium that helps most, but I think the two work in balance with each other.

sweetiepie,
You may have, but when I went into the 'questions asked' I couldn't find it. Thanks for your help.
