I took my progesterone and estrogen while on P2. The real question is whether to be actively trying to get pregnant while doing the diet. I don't think that's a great idea. You wouldn't know you were pregnant in the very early days and the baby might need more food than you're giving your body. Barb, what do you think?

Collen should I still continue my VLCD or load again and start a new cycle. I will get my hcg dosage tomorrow evening. Sunday morning was my last dosage of sub lingual. My TOM will be on oct 22 or 23 so my ovulation would start around Nov 1st( active time for trying to get preg ) . If I continue my VLCD consideration a 40 day round my last day of hcg would be on Oct 26th. I am so confused. I am desperate to lose weight and to get pregnant

The hcg that we take should not show up in ordinary blood tests, but if you are having more sophisticated homonal studies done, which your doctor is going to use to determine homone dosages to help you get pregnant....I would not have the hcg in my system for that testing. You want your doctor to get a really accurate picture of where your hormones are.
Also, I would not actively try to get pregnant while on the hcg diet. The early days of a pregnancy are too important to the developing embryo to mess up with our VLCD. I have heard of some folks doing it with strict physician supervision, and modifications to the diet to allow enough calories for the embryo. But my opinion is these are two major projects...losing weight....and making a baby. Each one deserves your full attention. I wouldn't try to do both at the same time.... Barb |

I was wondering how everyone faced temptation?...I sit in a cubicle where there is a counter top attached to one side , like at the DMV, and all the guys I work with bring in cookies and snacks and just leave them there for everyone to take (that is the only PURPOSE the counter serves). My cubicle is right next to the door so everyone passes it on the way into the office and I am the only one with a counter top (why? I don't know, I am the only female in the office as well haha). I just need some words of wisdom, mantras if you will, to help keep my hands away from the bad stuff. I do tell myself "Nothing taste as good as being thin feels" but I need more...please help, I can't stand bring you junk food to work days anymore.

Audrey --communicate with them (the guys). Tell them you are on a restricted diet that is real important to you and just knowing all those goodies is on the other side of your cubicle is too tempting. I don't know about you but, my biggest temptation is desserts ...I would die if that were me! Is there a break/lunch room or a small table you can set up elsewhere? Come up with a solution and ask your co-workers for their help. They're guys, they won't care where the goodies are! Good luck!

2 Questions:
Question 1: Salad: are baby-greens included in this category, or is it only romaine and iceberg? I ask because they are mixed leaves and I had some, then realized maybe this is not ok? Anyone have an answer? Question 2: I have a hard time going without anything in the mornings sometimes. Is it ok to switch the meal times around? I understand that some people take the apple in the mornings. How about the proteins instead? Thanks, Olivia |

Hi everyone I’m still waiting for my stuff to come should be here tomorrow or Friday I hope :-) , fingers crossed. While I have been waiting I have been reading ALL the threads on ALL the pages, ok maybe not all the threads but I have gone on each page still have about 30 pages left. I’m a stay at home mum so I have lots of time. Found so many interesting things and sooooo many things have inspired me and I know this diet is for me. I have also confused myself more : 0 hence this thread but the best part of the threads were how they made me laugh out loud : ) and how you all come together to help someone out. If any of you are down with the diet or sad at something or you want to eat, read over some of the older threads it will help and it will cheer you up.
My questions potassium, magnesium, calcium, vitamin c and b12 drops/injections. Do I need to take them all or some if so which should I take? Can you eat tuna if it is in water a few of the older threads said you could. If you use 1/2" needles to inject on thigh or tummy will it get to muscles (I have read so much on this some say yes others say no) by putting into muscle it is better absorbed so keeps you less hungry, is that right, what about if you have fat covering the muscle can you do the arm and where? would this size needle reach. I have one very big worry even after all the things I have read, what if it doesn’t work for me. My thyroid stopped working then suffered from CFS/ME doctors are crap they can not decide which, but I have bad bouts of where I can not get out of bed and all I do is sleep hence weight gain. When i am fit i try very hard to lose weight but nothing happens i do aerobics weights you name it i do it but the weight sticks like glue. I know lots of you have what seems to be the same issues but I am scared it want happen with me, am I being silly. Sorry for going on but I am now having sleepless nights worrying about this. |

You can have greens and you can take any of your other food and eat it for breakfast, Olivia.
Rednats, so glad you're here! This WILL work for you. Really. It works for everyone. You don't have to take any supplements. I take magnesium citrate all the time for my migraine protocol but it helps with constipation. Some take b12 just because they want to. Some take potassium if they get leg cramps. But don't worry about that unless you get them. Some have tried the tuna in water and done okay with it. How you inject depends on your needles. If you want to inject in the muscle you need 1 1/2 " needles and you would inject deep into the muscle of the leg with them. But most of us use 1/2" needles and they aren't long enough to get into the muscle. You can inject in your stomach or your thigh. I do stomach because it doesn't hurt there at all for me. It's too difficult to get it into your arm. You'd have to have someone do that for you. |
