The Guayaki brand is only $7 here locally in several grocery stores. No, it does not taste like hot chocolate, but it has an interesting flavor. It tastes sweeter than the regular Mate tea.

but be careful adding cocoa during P2. Cocoa, even unsweetened, has fat in it : (

well, it probably won't be a problem if its just 1/4 tsp! I can't believe you can even taste the difference. but yes, look at the fat content and that will tell you (on the nutrition info) if something has fats.

i just bought organic CHOC yerba mate. I noticed it had cocoa in it and was worried that the cocoa had sugar. The package says no sugar and sugar is not listed in the label.. Is this such a good choice for ph 2?

We have the regular and chai spice flavored Yerba Mate teas - can't stand the former but LOVE the latter with vanilla Stevia. Holy cow, its delish. Have added the chocolate one to my grocery list!

I found Yerba Mate Mocha Mint tea plus many others at vitacost.com......check out their prices....I also get my vitamins/supplements there too....I'm not sure if anyone has tried the mocha mint by Yerba Mate but would be interested to hear......I think a box of 20 bags was over $5.00 or so......and there is a chocolate mint too....more pricey.....for over $14.00 for 18 bags, I think.......

I just found a interesting article on the web about Yerba mate tea, and how Yerba mate tea kills colon cancer cells.

I fell in love with this too when I read about it on the forum and got some. Whole foods sells these. I love the Chocolate one and the Mint empowerment however, I got a little scared because someone posted on another thread that it causes cancer.
