Im flying from LA to Orlando and Im leaving out very early in the am so I dont know exactly what to do because Im sure any restaurants or shops will have stuff loaded with starch and sugar...any suggestions on what I can do??? I appreciate any help I can get...thanks

Hi lynn! Most airports, with their vast 'food courts' should have places where you can find a salad with chicken or something like that. For sure I've seen some 'healthy choices' if you look for them. If not, you could always pop into one of the restaurants and order something specific, I'm sure they'd be happy to accomodate you. I fly quite a bit too...shouldn't be an issue (altho temptations are there).

I travel quite a bit for work and here are somethings that I do:
- Pack meals for the flights/airport. I use those blue ice packs to keep things cold - sometimes it is just hard boiled eggs, sf bacon, chicken, celery, apple, etc. I have never had any issues with security and the ice packs. - Starbucks is always a good place where you can pick up an apple and a cup of hot tea. - Some of the restaurants you can just order eggs and bacon or an omelet for breakfast. Salad with grilled chicken, Burgers without the bun for lunches/dinner but there could always be hidden carbs. |
