Default Help - going camping this weekend on P2
Just wondering what I should do - of course the menu is hamburgers/hot dogs normal camping foods - has anyone tried to stick with program while away for 4 days?

I'm a die hard camper & have been so since I was 3 months old (first camping trip). You should be fine with the burgers & also pack some pre-weighed chicken breast in the cooler. Do the same with any other protein, veggies & fruit.
The great part of the protocol (to me) is that your choices are limited -although some find that frustrating.
My weakness in camping is that it's usually a time for us to "let loose" a bit & eat things (junk food, if you will) that we don't normally have in the house.

I went camping many many times this summer while on P2 and P3. P2 was not bad - I just brought the pre-measured chicken, steak tips, haddock and I also did pork loin and my vegis were mostly asparagus and cucumbers. i drank vodka and seltzer water and still lost weight. I would make myself big salads with greens and tomatoes with grilled chicken on top. I made a homemade dressing with mustard, water and stevia - sounds gross but was actually pretty good.

I went for walks when the bad stuff came out - like chips and dip, nuts, nachos etc...........But I survived and didn't really crave anything at all. You will be fine!

kabobs on the grill, steak, bunless burger, fruit, chilled cukes = camping food success! When I go camping, I like to go on walks and hikes too, so I would take myself away from the chips and other temptations. I was in P3 for my last camping trip, and I allowed myself one lonely smore which I savored and ate as slowly as possible. Came home to zero gain, so that was nice.

What Lisa mentioned are great ideas. I've gone camping on p2 and it was actually really easy. For once, I didn't come back 3 lbs heavier from all the camping junk food free for all. lol.

I made up batches of chix/apple/celery salads (recipes on forum) that were AWESOME! I also took deli sliced boars head roast beef. It was so easy to just grab roast beef from a baggie and eat whenever I wanted.

We are going camping this weekend too. Can't wait. I just gotta get my butt in the kitchen and prep my food for the trip.

Hey you never fail unless you give up!! It's just a bump in the road - but I hope I can do it - 4 days is long when everyone is doing smores and beer (well not the kids anyway-the beer part) HA
