Default Abnormally Quick Losses?
Hi everyone!

So, I started VLCD1 last SUNDAY (5 days ago) at 185. Today, I weighed in at 167... This is almost 18 lbs in 5 days. Doesn't this seem a bit more than quick to you guys? My last round I was a quick loser in the beginning (12 pounds in 5 days), but this round is off the charts. And no, it's not my scale because I've weighed in various places... The only thing that I can think of is that last round, my LDW was 178. I came home from camp (after battling between 178 and 185 for DAYS-- I cheated my last day of VLCD and got a 12 lb spike -- I know, also abnormal...) and was at 173. I stayed there for nearly three weeks, stabilized, until I jumped back up to 180 again (same previous culprit, tacos with hard shells)... Could it be that my body set itself at 173, and so it just accelerated the weight loss to that point, and then has dipped below since? I'm a little bit worried about it because I don't want to lose it so fast, go into p3, and then gain it all back because my body has no clue what it's doing... Not to mention, I'm worried there might be some sort of imbalance that's "wrong" with my body? Anybody have any ideas? I never had these quick drops and adds before hcg (i don't mind them so much, so long as their drops, lol!)

And here's a breakdown of the days:
Preloading: 180.4
Loading: 185.3
VLCD1: 183.2
2: 172. 8 (11 pound loss)
3. 170.4
4. 170.2
5. 167.4

So really, the only monumental loss was between Days 1 and 2, but I'd say days 4 and 5 was a pretty abnormal loss too, of three pounds? Has this happened to anybody? Or anybody know what the reasoning could be?

Thanks!

re-check the loss using a doctor's scale just to make sure. and talk to the doctor while you're there to make sure everything is OK.

I don't go with injections, so I'm rarely at the doctor's office anyway But I'll recheck it again using a public scale, then call if I'm still worried... I just wanted to see what others thought about it. Thanks!

Any chance you have a food sensitivity? I have celiac and got accidental gluten on my last loading day of this round. That shoots my weight up like that, but after a few days on VLC it dropped dramatically.

I think anytime you gain or lose rapidly, it is not fat you are losing, it is fluid. So with that being said. There is something wicked in what you ate that you are super sensitive to. If it's something in those tacos, I would avoid them like the plague. Perhaps the corn shells?

I agree! When you start P3 again, I'd add things back in one at a time and see which item you are soooo allergic to.

I'm thinking along the same lines... something caused some intensive inflammation, which carries with it a huge fluid hit. It's almost like you skipped the 170's and went straight to the 160's. Personally, I would love that, but I think you're right to try and figure out what caused it.

Thanks, everyone! I also think it might be the corn chips/shells... I've had taco salads before and done just fine with them, so I'm HOPING it's the corn and not something else, haha! It also could be black beans, but I just can't see a gain like that from black beans, so we'll see. I'm hoping that the taco thing can be remedied!

And Lisa, believe me. I don't mind skipping the 170s at all! I was just curious if anyone else knew of this happening and what the "side effects" are. Other than that huge drop, everything else seems relatively normal.
