Who has tried Zucchini on phase 2?

I was wondering who has tried Zucchini in phase two and how did your body react to it?

Thanks,

Ellie

I have done zucchini and squash in P2, at resturants to boot, and still had losses the next days so it was good for me. I really love the yellow squash in the Glad steamer bags, so quick and easy.

(opps, Ziploc steamer bag, not Glad)

Hi Ellie I plan on trying them in my next round. I read on the old forum some had tried with and without issue. I start R2P2 Oct.24th

I had them on my first round as the clinic I used allows them.... No issues I did really well on my round! My next two rounds I didn't use them because I tried to stay true to protocol.

I like your saying after your post. Makes a lot of sense.

I bought a spiral slicer and when you spiral slice the zucchini it tastes a lot like pasta.
Yum!!

I have zucchini or green beans for the 2 weeks of my cycle and have good losses. I got tired of the asparagus and don't have many other things I like. I think you just have to give it a whirl and see. Good Luck!

i lose well with zucchini.

I eat zucchini several times a week on P2 and it seems to be fine.

mr.supervideogoodfd 08-10-2011 05:06 PM

How do you prepare it in P2? http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...lies/smile.png

edited to say that I'd like to cook it vs eating it raw.

sportlife 08-10-2011 06:46 PM

i just steam it.

Awesome! I was just today I was wishing that I could have Zucchini. I cook it in the oven on a cookie sheet or on the grill, lightly spayed with pam olive oil cooking spray and veggie seasoning. Yum!

pam is not allowed- it's nothing but oil.

I did not plan on eating Zucchini this round but ran out of my other vegetables and it was the only thing in the fridge.
Sliced it up and ate it raw the first time.
After that, I started eating it plain or steaming it depending on how much time I had.
I lost fine with it.

I ate zucchini this round too - no problems with losses. I ate it raw like Gary, and also for a quick veggie would just slice it up and microwave it with a dusting of spices for a minute - warm but still crunchy (I hate cooked-to-mushy veggies!).

My husband and I tries them. I grilled them with a little lemon juice and some sea salt and pepper. I was fine and tasted great too.

I have been having grilled zucchini in P2 as well. Hubby grills it with a squeeze of lemon. Yummy and no problems with weight loss.

Oh, for some unknown reason I thought pam was okay. I use lighty but often, but maybe my losses would be better without it.
Is there something I can use in its place?http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...s/confused.png

pissmanvd 08-17-2011 06:18 PM

I am using zuc's in my p2. No probes here.

fapourfasiark 08-17-2011 09:08 PM

I just had some, as well, and was feeling guilty because they tasted sooooooo good. Anything that tastes good on p2 can't be allowed right? Ha!

Also, with TOM around the corner, I have discovered that a half-spoon full of unsweetened cocoa powder with a little water and stevia does the trick. I'm freezing some with the hopes it will be a little like cocoa crack without the crack. I read cocoa is an allowable seasoning on p2?

CHEAPPoem 08-17-2011 09:17 PM

What about the yellow squash that looks like Zucchini? Forget what it's called. Is that ok? I have some in my fridge and I'm the only one in the house who will eat it. I hate for it to go bad, but I suppose if it will cause me to stall or even gain it's a no dice.
