Default Very little weight loss!!!
Hi, I'm new here. Been low carbing for about a month now. First week = no weight loss. Second week = lost 2lbs. Third week = put on 1lb!

I read somewhere that low carbing doesn't work for some people, especially women. Has anyone else found this to be the case?
I haven't done Induction as it is too strict. I have however cut out all bread, rice, grains etc. For breakfast I have greek yog and sweetex. For lunch I have bacon and sausages and eggs. For tea I have cauliflower and meat. For snacks I will eat almonds.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?????

Very grateful for all replies......

If you could fill in the typical particulars -- weight, height, how much you want to loss, etc.

Of all the phases, induction is the most critical for starting the Atkins weight loss program. I am not sure if you can do Atkins and never do an induction phase.

Depending on the amount of weight you are looking to lose, the induction weeks is 10% of the total weight loss. If you were looking to loss 10 lbs, you are doing fine. If you were expecting to loss 100 lbs, then you are really low.

You might want to read the Atkins book, the latest version. One, the diet is not particularly restrictive. Two, you most likely should be eating more vegetables than you currently are. Third, the amount of food seems low -- Atkins is not a calorie restrictive diet. You should be eating til full.

Add up your carbs ; yogurt, sweetex, sausages and almonds all have some carbs in. Depends how much you are eating.
