Hi everyone. My name is dee and I start my vlcd tomorrow. I'm also fasting this month and I was wondering if anyone could provide some answers to a couple of questions I have.
I'm using hhcg drops from officialhcgdiet.com. I can only eat before the sunrises and after the sun sets. My drops say to take 10 drops 3x a day, but do you think it might be ok to take 15 drops in the am and 15 in the pm? I will try and stay as close to protocol as possible, but has anyone had success while fasting and doing hcg at the same time ? Whatever tips and suggestions you all can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! ~Dee |

I would take the drops 3 times a day. Some people think there's some reason they're supposed to be taken before meals but it's really just a convenient time to remember to take them. I took mine 5 times a day and sometimes they weren't near mealtimes at all - it just kept the hcg at a constant level during the day, I believe.
I see no reason you can't eat during the times you are allowed to eat. Some people don't like to eat late on this diet but there's no real reason not to. It'll just make the next morning's weigh-in slightly higher, since there might still be food sitting in your stomach, but that has no real bearing on fat loss. Let us know how you progress! |

I would recommend to wait until the Ramadan is over to start on your vlcd. I started my vlcd before Ramadan and had great success but the progress has slowed down to almost no losses during this month. I think it is due to the fact that you can not totally follow the HCG protocol when you are fasting for 16 hours or so. I had lost 15 lbs in a week and a half before ramadan but only 2 lbs in 8 days of fasting. Even though I have been taking my drops 3 times a day, they don't have the same effect during this month.

Hey kitty, thanks for the heads up. I was really worried about that, so I made sure to order two bottles. I planned on doing the 45 day protocol because I have about 40lbs to lose and bought the extra bottle just incase my first round was unsuccessful. I think im gonna go ahead and try the protocol for 1 week to see how my body reacts to it. Do you mind me asking what you eat for suhoor and iftar? Also what times do you usually take your drops ?
Thanks so much, and Ramadan Kareem! |

I have combined the lunch and breakfast for sahari, and dinner for iftar. So as as soon as I wake up in the morning, I drink a full glass of water. I take my first set of drops right after Tahajjad prayer. I eat the 4 oz meat (fish, beaf, chicken or shrimps) with 2 cups of vegetables (cauliflower, Broccoli, cucumbers or tomatoes), one melba toast or Grissini bread, and an apple with a cup of tea for sahari. These days I am only able to eat half an apple though, so I eat half of it one day and the other half the next day.I try to get at least 3 glasses of water in every morning.
I open my fast with a glass of water, then say my Maghrib prayers to allow the 15 minutes before taking the 2nd set of drops. Dinner has the same items as Sahari except strawberries instead of apple. Different meats on one day though, like fish in the morning and chicken at night, or beef in the morning and shrimps at night. at least 4 glasses of water at night. Then I take the last set of drops 15 mintues before going to bed, drink another glass of water and goto sleep. I hope this helps! |
