Broccoli.... Oh No!
Today is day 28 of p2.... down 23 pounds!! Yeah! When I started hcg I must have read somewhere... not sure where... that you could eat Broccoli! I have until 2 days ago been eating broccoli almost on a daily basis! Ugh! I have stopped now of course, but am pretty mad, lol. I have been following the diet to a T! (Except broccoli, lol) I guess I will just have to be sick of asparagus for a little while longer, lol. I am going 45 days so I am hoping its all downhill from here! I can't express how rewarding this diet is!!! There are so many days in the beginning on an every HOUR basis was thinking of cheating, but held strong. Some days I thought I might chew my arm off!!! Keep yourself busy... that has really helped for me! Hunger pretty much doesn't exist anymore... I will get a small headache when I am hungry, but as soon as I eat it goes right away! I really don't eat any meals, I just break up the food allowed in a day and eat it through out the whole day. I really could just eat nothing at this point, but know it would only make the weight loss worse. Hang in there everyone just starting!!! It really becomes routine!

This is what I'm planning on sticking with found in Dr. Simeon's Pound & Inches, it shows the vegetables allowed Brocolli not included. lol
I will make sure I stick with the veggie list as tempting as it is. I love Brocolli as well.-) The Diet The 500 Calorie diet is explained on the day of the second injection to those patients who will be preparing their own food, and it is most important that the person who will actually cook is present - the wife, the mother or the cook, as the case may be. Here in Italy patients are given the following diet sheet. Breakfast: Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin or Stevia may be used. Lunch: 1. 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The chicken breast must be removed from the bird. 2. One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage. 3. One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast. I WILL ELIMINATE the breadstick. *Frown* 4. An apple, orange, or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit. NO ORANGES for me. *Frown* Dinner : The same four choices as lunch (above.) The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes. Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing. Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times. In fact, the patient should drink about 2 liters of these fluids per day. Many patients are afraid to drink so much because they fear that this may make them retain more water. This is a wrong notion as the body is more inclined to store water when the intake falls below its normal requirements. The fruit or the breadstick may be eaten between meals instead of with lunch or dinner, but not more than than four items listed for lunch and dinner may be eaten at one meal. No medicines or cosmetics other than lipstick, eyebrow pencil and powder may be used without special permission. That about sums it up... Not a lot of choices but I'm sure I can get creative with recipe's. *Confused & Drooling* Best Wishes! This is exactly what I have all printed up and I go by... I must have read somewhere at the beginning that broccoli was okay, lol. I found out because I decided to pull out the list to see if vinegar was okay and noticed that Broccoli was NOT on the list which I thought it was this whole time for some reason, lol. Oh well, atleast the weight has been coming off great in my mind, 23 pounds in 28 days. No diet has EVER worked like this one. I have busted my butt at the gym for an hour and a half 5 days a week and eating based off of weight watchers, only to loose 15 pounds in a 4 month time period... I am thrilled! It is a tough diet but the rewards of HCG out weigh it by miles! I know that months and years from now I will remember all of this hard work and make much better food choices! Also, this diet has really made me realize that you eat for nutrients, not for pleasure!!!

I'm excited for you, yes as you said at least the weight came off easily and your still not done, I'm sure you will probably drop another 15 pounds before the finish.
Isn't it amazing, working out 1-2hrs in the gym 5 days a week sacrificing meals/calorie count all trying to lose weight for 4months and only shedding 15lbs. I have had friends go to the gym 5 days a week for 2hrs minimum on low calorie but can only lose about 10lb a month max. (If that) Plus they keep gaining it back when they get frustrated, tired and cheat. YO YO up and down on the scale and so much effort at the gym I feel sorry for them. WOW, the HCG diet sounds to good to be true for some, EAT ALL YOU WANT the first 2 days, feel no hunger, eat little meals with NO EXERCISE and LOSE more than those people in the gym working out hours upon hours all week with low calorie restricted diets. I'm telling you this has to be the best diet out there. MAYBE it's more than just a diet It's an actual WEIGHT LOSS CURE. lol Am I starting to sound like Kevin Tru already? haha The day after I lose 30 pounds on the 43 days that is about my goal, I'm throwing a party. All you can eat, Gorging session. Crispy Creme's, you name it.-) Wanna come.lol |
I'll be there, lol! I know... it really is AMAZING!
|
I guess broccoli isn't original protocol butit is listed on the the sheet given by my doctor. I personally don't like broccoli so I havent eaten it but my husband ate it nearly every single day and he lost 50 lbs in 48 days and no problems stabilizing so far.
|
Oh good... so it looks like I haven't screwed things up,lol.
|
broccoli, cauliflower and green beans are listed on my sheet from my doctor, but I didn't see them in the protocol either...ugh this can be so confusing.
I am running out of ways to season the same three things...asparagus, spinach, green salad...over and over, but it will be worth it in the end I guess. LOL Its just food http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...lies/frown.png |
Dellboi2u do you mind me asking you a personal question? What size clothing do you wear? Or how much do you weigh and your height? I am about 5'5 and I currently weigh i think about 150 (maybe a couple pounds give or take...) and wear a size 10-12. I would like to weigh 120 or less and I am wondering If I would get the same results as most people do losing about a 1lb a day. I am scared that I won't lose what I would like. I have purchased 2 ampules of HCG and want to make sure that I do everything correctly. I will be going out of town june 27th and get back july 4th and want to lose as much as I can before I go. Any advice?

Hi Rebostler,
I was just in your shoes about 2 weeks ago, debating starting HCG or not and decided to give it a go. I would say DO IT no matter what, you will lose weight guaranteed on it that is for sure everybody loses weight at a different level/degree depending on how much they have to lose I guess but I can almost assure you that you will lose at least 15-20 lbs if you do the 43 day protocol, most likely you would lose all 30-40 and once you hit your goal weight however long it takes whether 30 days or 43 you can always stop early and then follow Phase 3 for maintaining that weight. DO IT is my recommendation and if you want to do it right just ask questions or search this forum, you can find all the answers you need on here and people are very friendly and helping on this forum.-) Good luck and DO IT. You won't regret it I promise. I researched many forums and people's testimonies about losing on this diet beforehand and came to the conclusion that it really works it's not just people making up stories trying to sell a diet. Go get em girl. Kristen p.s. Before you mix the HCG make sure you get it absolutely right, there is no margin for error and the HCG is the most important part of the entire diet. Ask questions first if your not sure about something, don't guess on mixing. |
I would like to know how to mix it. I already have the supplies... well at least I think I have what I need as far as the supplies. This is what I got : 43 Day Protocol Kit (for use with 5000IU amp + additional amp of any strength)
Insulin syringes 50, Mixing syringes 2, Alcohol pads 50, 10cc sterile capped vials 2, 30cc bottle bacteriostatic water 1. I am still waiting for my HCG. I purchased 2 5000 IU ampules. What am I supposed to do next? How should I mix it? If I want to do the 50 day protocol? |
Hey guys some ideas for vegetables: steamed cabbage is delicious. I never tried it before diet. Steamed spinach also is yummy, slice up a large tomato (or several smaller ones) for your vegetable and eat seasoned with salt and pepper, the steamed asparagus was good for about the first week (2 meals a day) now can't choke it down. And don't forget the raw celery too! Also I would cook sliced up chicken breast or extra lean ground beef cooked ina skillet rolled up in iceberg lettuce like a wrap. Add mustard or homemade honey mustard (sweetened with stevia) to your wrap if you like. Very good.
Also as a rule men will lose more on this diet than women. Don't set your expectations so high you are disappointed if you don't lose a pound a day. Even half a pound a day for women is far more than most diets. |
Mikkydee - what is your recipe for the mustard. That would be yummy, lettuce, chicken, and mustard made with Stevia. Just not sure how to make it.
Thanks, Annette |
What size needles did you get? Are they U-100 insulin 29g 1/2" needles?
I just went through all of this the other day and mixed mine up, it's much easier than it actually seems at first. The important thing for you is storing the HCG correctly since you have to mix the entire 5000iu which will give you at least 30 days worth, you want to make sure you keep it good and potent for the 30 days. Let us know when you have the HCG and are ready to mix people will help you out here, there are also videos on mixing on youtube but make sure you just don't follow anyone's instructions out there but double check the procedure with people on this forum first because some people do it the wrong way I noticed and are not as careful in mixing. NEVER SHAKE the container ever after mixing. Keep that in mind, it's important I hear or you deplete the potency of the HCG. Light over time also can deplete potency so when it's stored it should be carefully covered up in the refrigerator, I wouldn't risk freezing them as other say to do just because you never know what happens to the potency, it's possible something is occurring that people are unaware of even though they feel it's working and don't feel hungry it could have a flaw only found out in the P3 P4 stage. Better to play it safe than sorry and stick to the original Dr. Simeon's protocol to the T. His protocol has proven to be 100% efficient so stick to what is proven to work and don't guess on things. Best of luck & I'm online everyday so if you ever have questions or need help in mixing I can tell you what I have learned about it and how I mixed it. I am still researching more about the mixing so hoping to find the most proven effective method of mixing as there are many different opinions on it out there. Kristen |
Mikkeydee, also interested in the mustard recipe, I wasn't sure if mustard was allowed or not sounds yummy.
What kind of mustard are you allowed to buy? How about organic non-sweetened ketchup adding stevia, is that acceptable? It's tough thinking about food right now lol, getting hungrier just talking about it. I better move onto another thread.lol |
Hcgloser- It is quite simple. I just season my meat as I normally would when I cook it in a skillet. Then squirt some mustard (organic mustard seems to have a better flavor to me) into a small dish. Then add some liquid stevia to taste while you mix it in with your mustard. Walaa honey mustard. Use this to apply to your lettuce wrap.
Hey I am all about simple. If it is easy and tastes good in the pie hole thats what I'll make before anything else! |
sounds good. I'll give it a try tomorrow. Looking forward to a wrap with Lettuce. Not too crazy about plain stevia, maybe I'll use a little Stevia and some water to bring it all to a paste.
Thanks, Mikkydee! Annette |
How about ketchup guys?
Is that allowed? Maybe even just 100% pure tomato paste with stevia? |
actually I just like plain mustard and don't use the stevia but some people like the sweetened mustard.
|
Yesman. I am not sure about ketchup. Many brands of ketchup have sugar in them. You have to read the ingredients. It also could be considered a vegetable and you aare not supposed to mix vegetables. (lettuce and tomatoes)
