IRAN HAS carried out the following acts to produce a nuclear weapon:

• Successful efforts to obtain nuclear military equipment
• Tried to find undisclosed ways to develop nuclear weapons
• Attempted to buy nuclear weapons, development information, and documentation from outside sources, using a "clandestine, nuclear supply network."
• Worked on developing an "indigenous" nuclear weapons and components

The above activities took place since 2003 and are believed to be ongoing.

• Iran is unable to account for 19.8 kilograms of uranium
• The Bushehr Nuclear Plant is shut down for maintenance
• The country is working on a missile re-entry vehicle to accommodate a new payload

In talks with individuals approached by Iran the IAEA found that Tehran had, in fact, been provided with nuclear weapon designs.

The report goes on to show that Iran has also developed or is attempting to develop nuclear components for an explosive device, detonators, and proving the rumors correct, that they have done computer modeling of thermonuclear explosions.

Finally, the IAEA has information that Iran may have planned a physical nuclear explosive test. The test was to be conducted remotely, with the device hidden down an extremely deep shaft.

It's unsettling to say the least. More unsettling is the west's continuance to play footsie, appeasing this malevolent regime. This is all to reminding of several decades ago, we know the eventual outcome of this particular placating of that beyond malevolent regime. One doesn't need to read the tea leaves to conclude or predict that history will, ultimately, repeat itself.

This time, however, Israel will be placed in a no win predicament, for its own survival. No win solely because when Israel strikes Iran's nuclear facilities, the entire world will hold it in utter contempt. Many, however, the two-face allies in particular, will suck in stale air with a deep sigh of relief.

As with Germany in the 30's appeasement will come to naught... ironically, the State of Israel is the only country that has the chutzpah and mettle to make certain history does not repeat itself; one doesn't have to question the whys or wherefores. The west, however, continues to shoot itself in the foot employing meaningless, to Iran, sanctions.
