How depressing is the situation! But when you start to look at the details of this dispute, irritation surely gives way to incredulity. For these most aggrieved public servants are hardly facing thankless penury.

More fundamentally, doctors have a professional obligation to put the interests of their patients FIRST. Yet they are intending to put these last, as urgent appointments and operations are cancelled.
