I quit watching American Idol a long time ago. Some of their winners have been quite forgettable. I lost interest long before Steven Tyler & J-Lo.

I hadn't heard that. I heard Nikki Minaj was coming on board as is Mariah Carey. I stopped watching a few years ago. It went downhill bad enough once Paula left, but Simon leaving was that show's demise.
