Dana, do you like them?
Yup I do

All their songs sound the same.

And Chad Kroeger is engaged to Avril Lavigne now??? WTF!?!?!?

Seriously, I heard that on the radio yesterday morning.
So do ZZ Top's songs and tons of people like their music. They just have a sound they stick to. I find the Avril thing humorous.

here's a thought, convince a non-fan to give them a chance; as I have never heard any of their music
One of my favorite songs.

Maulds If Everyone Cared is one of the lesser songs I like as well as If Today Was Your Last Day...

I was like 13-14 years old and the song Old Enough came on the radio. I liked it, so I liked them.

It's not a wonderful song, but it's much better than the stuff they've had lately. They're just another band catering to what they think will sell. Their music now is really horrible to my ears, but their existence doesn't rent space in my head.

It's become sort of a cultural phenomenon to hate them, like a huge running joke with unknown origins. I don't know. Probably helped their career. Without the hate, there would probably be no fans.

I just hear a lot of people hate them and I've never really heard a valid reason.

I'm not a ZZ Top fan either, LOL...however I do like their stuff better than Nickelback's stuff. Either way, to each his own...why does it matter to you if anybody else likes Nickelback??? The majority of people on this site don't even KNOW who my favorite band is and, if they do, it's b/c "hey, they sing that bartender song!!!"

Yep. Ugh...Donovan's son, Matt, knew every single word to that song and would make him play it over and over again while he walked around the living room singing it.
