Queen frontman Freddie Mercury has been voted the "Ultimate Rock God" by music fans.

The singer, who died of an Aids-related illness in 1991, came out on top of the survey, which was conducted by onepoll.com.

Around 4,000 people were questioned, with Elvis Presley and Jon Bon Jovi completing the Top 3.

The full Top 10 is as follows:

01 Freddie Mercury
02 Elvis Presley
03 Jon Bon Jovi
04 David Bowie
05 Jimi Hendrix
06 Ozzy Osbourne
07 Kurt Cobain
08 Slash
09 Bono
10 Mick Jagger

tis an awful list. imo

the only ones who lived any sort of rockstar life there are ozzy, hendrix, slash and jagger.

only hendrix deserves to be there from a musical standpoint

morrison is king of rockstars and always will be. Voice, poet, alcohol, heroin. he;s the man.
