A song which always pulls your heart strings

Mine is Grow old with you by Adam Sandler http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif

Yeah I know, total cheeseball song but it's so cute, I love the simplicity of that song... anyway what is one song that always gets to you... *sniff* http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif

Thats a good one^^^

Mine would have to be Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle.
I had never heard it until after I had my first daughter.
The thought of my little girls growing up and getting married is the only thing that can break me down.

For those who have never heard it.

I Will Follow You Into the Dark - Death Cab For Cutie

First time I heard it, I couldn't stop the tears...the lyrics are just beautiful and with the very simple, basic music it just really sends the point home.

I have a few that always make me cry...

"Amazing Grace" always does it, no matter what. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/frown.gif

"The Car" by Jeff Carson...especially at the end.

This one always gets me, too...and this is one of my absolute favorite songs which, sadly, I had forgotten about until the past week or so. It's called "Unloved" and it's by Jann Arden and Jackson Browne.

First ones that come to mind are

Beck: Guess I'm Doing Fine

Clapton: Tears in Heaven

Morrissey: the Father Who Must Be Killed

Oh Lord, I love that song more than you will ever know. Eric Clapton is really a saint for making that song.

Well, as for me, the only song that can truly get me going is:

Donadoni1809 10-19-2008 03:25 AM

Van Morrison's "Have I told you lately............"
