There are a few songs that Move me to the point i either want to cry or i get goosebumps because the person singing the song believes in what they are singing.
I got this from Grace's thread for a christmas wish and it made me think are there any songs that make you feel, be it good or bad music has a grasp on us at times and im sure im not the only one out there who feels this way. Heres One of the songs that gets me everytime. John Farnham - The Voice We have the chance to turn the pages over We can write what we want to write We gotta make ends meet, before we get much older We're all someone's daughter We're all someone's son How long can we look at each other Down the barrel of a gun? You're the voice, try and understand it Make a noise and make it clear Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o We're not gonna sit in silence We're not gonna live with fear Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o This time, we know we all can stand together With the power to be powerful Believing we can make it better We're all someone's daughter We're all someone's son How long can we look at each other Down the barrel of a gun? You're the voice, try and understand it Make a noise and make it clear Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o We're not gonna sit in silence We're not gonna live with fear Oh-wo-wo-wo, whoa-o-o-o ooooh We're all someone's daughter We're all someone's son How long can we look at each other Down the barrel of a gun? You're the voice, try and understand it Make a noise and make it clear Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o We're not gonna sit in silence We're not gonna live with fear Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o (X3) We're not gonna sit in silence We're not gonna live with fear |

robbie williams sang this because his friends little girl died.....his friend might actually have written it
YouTube - Robbie Williams - Angels I sit and wait Does an angel contemplate my fate And do they know The places where we go When we're grey and old 'cos I have been told That salvation lets their wings unfold So when I'm lying in my bed Thoughts running through my head And I feel the love is dead I'm loving angels instead And through it all she offers me protection A lot of love and affection Whether I'm right or wrong And down the waterfall Wherever it may take me I know that life won't break me When I come to call she won't forsake me I'm loving angels instead When I'm feeling weak And my pain walks down a one way street I look above And I know I'll always be blessed with love And as the feeling grows She breathes flesh to my bones And when love is dead I'm loving angels instead And through it all she offers me protection A lot of love and affection Whether I'm right or wrong And down the waterfall Wherever it may take me I know that life won't break me When I come to call she won't forsake me I'm loving angels instead And through it all she offers me protection A lot of love and affection Whether I'm right or wrong And down the waterfall Wherever it may take me I know that life won't break me When I come to call she won't forsake me I'm loving angels instead ![]() |

Shannon Noll - The Way she loved me
Desperately waiting for her to arrive Longing for strength that I lack Tears fill my eyes when I realise she's gone I know that I can't bring her back She used to make it so easy to love her She used to make me shine So stay if you will and I'll show you The way she loved me for a time Empty, I lie on the bed that we made But now I can't get to sleep She had a way of wearing my clothes And made them look better than me She had a heart that could light up the ocean She told me she was mine So lend me an ear and I'll tell you The way she loved me for a time Oh, I long to hold her Oh, I want her here to see Oh, how I ache for her next to me Desperate I wait for the day that I see her Hold to her deep inside The most perfect love that I wanted to be her From the moment she caught my eye I light a candle for her every evening Pour me a glass of wine I will remember so clearly The way she loved me for a time Yes I will remember so dearly The way she loved me I cant find a video on You Tube for it though but its an amazing song!! |

Love Me If You Can Sometimes think that war is necessary Every night I pray for peace on earth I hand out my dollars to the homeless But believe that every able soul should work My father gave me my shotgun That I’ll hand down, to my son Try to teach him everything it means I’m a man of my convictions Call me wrong, call me right But I bring my better angels to every fight You may not like where I’m going But you sure know where I stand Hate me if you want to, love me if you can I stand by my right to speak freely But I worry about what kids learn from TV And before all of the debating turn to angry words and hate Sometimes we should just agree to disagree And I believe that Jesus Looks down here and sees us And if you asked him he would say I’m a man of my convictions Call me wrong, call me right But I bring my better angels to every fight You may not like where I’m going But you sure know where I stand Hate me if you want to, love me if you can I’m a man of my convictions Call me wrong, call me right But I bring my better angels to every fight You may not like where I’m going But you sure know where I stand Hate me if you want to, love me if you can |

Raise Him Up When I first met his momma She was just 19 Couldn't say for certain who the father was I have known him since he was a pup And I'm gonna raise him up If you never knew your daddy Like I never knew mine It feels like everybody knows you're fatherless This boy may not be blood of my blood But I'm gonna raise him up I'll provide for him Walk beside of him I am strong enough Cause it's time he knew What a son can do With a father's love He can change the world Ya'll may have to look at joseph A couple thousand years ago When he held a newborn baby he named jesus He said he may not be blood of my blood Still I'm gonna raise him up I'll provide for him Walk beside of him I am strong enough I will show him too What a son can do With a fathers love And he will change the world 33 years later When the son was in his grave Broken and abandoned by a world he came to save His real dad said he's mine Blood of my blood And I'm gonna raise him up I'll provide for you Walk beside of you I am strong enough I have seen from you What a son can do With a fathers love One man changed the world And he can change your world But you gotta raise him up Raise him up |
