I have all their studio albums and a couple of live ones.

There were legendary live early on. But almost all the live stuff I have seen or heard was not that good. Guess that is what happens when your singer is so stoned and drugged he is falling down sloppy

anyway their drummer was very under rated and I always liked the guitar licks.

Bobby Krieger was pretty good yeah, and he played with his fingers only usually.

But the organist Manzerack (sp) was what gave the band that fantastic musical value I thought.

you either are too young or grew up in a closet

they had what i would call real music

compared to the bilge that is on the radio these days.

Great band! A friend of mine visited Jim Morrison's grave in Paris a few years ago and took some photos. The graffiti tributes on the wall are great and the grave is covered in spliffs that people leave in tribute to him.

There are some other notable people buried at the same cemetery. As i recall Morrison only had a lease on the plot for so many years and they were thinking of having him moved as the graffiti was becoming a problem.

Manzanarek did provide a nifty beat but his skills were nothing special.
