Arctic Monkeys have now been granted the Nationwide Mercury Prize 2006 due to their debut album 'Whatever People Say I'm, That's What I'm Not' despite stiff opposition from the kind of Thom Yorke, Guillemots, Hot Chip and the others. The three original members were present at the service to get the honor and the associated check for thirty thousand pounds.
