For those of you who know of Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits- I would imagine anybody big into guitar would as Knopfler is pretty damn good- I went to see him live and he was pretty damn good. Disappointingly he didn't do anything off his first solo album (Golden Heart), but aside from that he did a good mix of Straits stuff and songs off his second and third solo albums, ending the night with Brothers In Arms and then (my favourite) Money For Nothin'. It was cool that he did 2 and a half straight hours without any supporting act or an interval too

Don't know if there are any other Knopfler and/or Straits fans on the board but if there are and you haven't seem him live I can highly recommend it

Pretty awesome.

I haven't heard any of his solo stuff, but Dire Straits is good, I like a few of their songs.

I doubt I'll be seeing him in my town anytime soon, but if I do get the chance, I'd probably check it out.
