Now, many people call Led Zeppelin metal, and it is, but it is not the metal everyone listens to today. They arent in the same category as Metallica, Pantera or Slayer, but theyre in their own category. I only think of them as a mix of classic rock and a little metal.
Vocals: 5/10 (dont like) Guitar/Bass: 8.5/10 Drums: 7/10 The next band is....Megadeth [ April 21, 2005, 05:45 PM: Message edited by: HammerHead ] |

Well depends on whether it's before Ozzy or after..
But still both singers are fucking awesome. Sometimes I like the singer after Ozzy, I find his voice more rough. Vocals: 8.5/10 Guitar: 9/10 - Basically Tony is the innovator of Metal, so I don't know he could get a lower grade. Drums: 7/10 - Drums are basically average for a band of there time. I don't know.. nothing really is groundbreaking as far as drums go in Sabbath. Sabbath is great.. although sometimes extremely overrated. Not all of their songs are great, some aren't that good at all. But still I respect them for what they've done. Next band: Motorhead! Later oN *...SlasH...* |

Ok judging from one song only "In the heart of winter" because there's some rapper named "Immortal Technique" And it pretty much is all of him on my P2P when Immortal is searched.
But.. at first I was feeling it, had a cool "Dream Theatre-Like" sound going, and actually it sounded better. I like the mix of soft-acoustic and speed metal.. but the singer really ruins this band. What a shitty singer. I'd say Tom Araya of Slayer is miles ahead of this guy. I don't care for most Speed Metal voices, and this doesn't change that outlook at all. Drums - 7 Guitar - 7.5 Vocals - 5.5 Next band: Accept ![]() Later oN *...SlasH...* |

Don't care for metal bands with female singers, and Lacuna Coil is no exeption. Better than Nightwish, though.
Slash: Speed metal = Helloween, Dragonforce Thrash metal: Slayer, Death Angel, Kreator Black metal: Immortal, Mayhem, Dissection, old Dimmu Borgir Get your genres straight, man ![]() I understand that the grim vocal used in black metal is not for everyone, but Abbath's no shitty singer. He does that vocal style well. Anyway... Next is: Goldfrapp [ April 23, 2005, 12:18 PM: Message edited by: Nabbe ] |
