LoL, I'm still of the mindset that Tupac took his gimmick WAY TOO SERIOUSLY..

Dre and Cube grew out of their gimmicks, because it really did hold them back from being anything more than straight outta compton a little n-word. You know the rest.

Tupac was the Ric Flair of Rap.

Tupac was popular with white boys finding themselves, minorities trying to "act hard", and the prison community because Tupac was a sexy big lipped little nucka. I'm sure he was passed around as much a basketball in a harlem globetrotters game. You know a guy who was skinny, and as pretty as tupac had to be raped in jail.

Everything he did was for show, to just play to the crowd, play to the media and sell his records.

Tupac even says so in his post-mortem interviews.

Tupac=the best actor ever. He lived his gimmick, from fresh faced good time easy going, funny actor, to thugged out gangsta.

THe man who grew up on the mean streets of baltimore, and attended the Maryland School for the Performing Arts, should be commended for his entire gimmick.

not only did the gimmick make him millions, it made him an icon.

There's only one other man who lived a gimmick like this to the fullest, and that's the Undertaker.

He's got as much cred as Johny Cash and sang the same kind of content (killing women, sex, drugs, and death). He's an average MC, but a great rapper.

There are better Rappers, better lyricist, and better MC's than tupac

For my money though, nobody played their character their gimmick to perfection like tupac.

Too bad gangsters didn't see the distinction between reallity and acting...sort of wish it was still that way with Pro wrestling though.

Oh and for my money, the illest MC is LL Cool J

I have to agree Tupac did seem alittle soft but just cause he went to Performing Arts school doesnt mean he isnt hard. Now, if he lied about then he would be a phony. Everything Tupac did, he got caught on Tv. He jump that guy, it was seen on TV. Tupac didnt lie about shit, he did. If actually beating up someone is acting then your just dumbass.
The fool also went to jail, so I dont really know wtf u talking about.
