![]() Yes folks, its here, Oasis's 6th Studio album, 'Don't Believe The Truth' finaly hits stores today, It's truely an amazing album, and i found these on the Oasis websire, enjoy (all text in bold is from Oasisinet.com, and was said by Noel) 1. TURN UP THE SUN : It’s that epic it could’ve and should’ve been the first 3 tracks on the album!! Turn Up The Sun is a brilliant tune, and perfect to start off the album, Written By Andy bell, It starts off slow and soft, but soon gets into the classic Oasis Rock n Roll song, Producer dave sardey said 'The lyrics make perfect sense when you realise Its written by Andy Bell who lives in sweeden' 2. MUCKY FINGERS: The result of one too many nights in the dressing room, brainwashing Gem with The Velvet Underground then thinking “Fuck it! Dylan rules!” This is a great song, its goes on the same beat the whole way through, and contains a Harmonica solo played By Gem 3. LYLA: It’s the soundtrack of our lives doing The Who on Skol in a psychedelic city in the sky (or something!) ‘Lyla’ was specifically designed for pogoing. We wrote 66 tracks and ‘Lyla’ was one that we revisited late on and it's ended up on the album. I’m happy with every track on the album' Lyla i'd say is perfect for There first single, Classic Oasis 4. LOVE LIKE A BOMB: Songbird’s bigger, far more interesting brother. One for the ladies, as Liam says. This is as Gem described it, a perfect summer tune, another liam Classic 5. THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING IDLE: Having nothing to do is such a massive job that someone had to write a song about it. Trueley a classic, this has everything you look for in Oasis, yet another Nopel Classic 6. THE MEANING OF SOUL: Elvis on Red Bull!! This is just pure, Raw rock, it doesnt play around, and its over in Under 2 minutes, Zak Starkey(drummer) Playes a box of Wheaties with some wooden spoons to get a more percussiony sound, another Great Liam tune, and some more gem Harmonica playing 7. GUESS GOD THINKS I’M ABEL: Up until two weeks ago, everyone thought the title was “Guess God Thinks I’m Able”!! Now everyone’s confused. This is one of my favourtes, and I'm Not Quite sure why, it sounds like a Noel Classic, and Then You Find Out Liam Wrote it and your just like, 'woah' 8. PART OF THE QUEUE: Doesn’t sound remotely like anything we’ve ever done before. Legendary Cuban percussionist Lenny Castro shuffles up a storm. Amazing. I know im repeating myself a tgad but its true, another Oasis great, Part Of The Queue is amazing, Top Notch 9. KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE: A Song that totally does justice to the title. Will be a live staple for years to come. Another Instant Classic from The one and only Andy Bell , Again at first Listen it sound like a Noel Song, it just goes to show that Oasis are evolving from just Noel doing the song writing 10. A BELL WILL RING: Ringo’s favourite. Enough said. Gem's contributiojn to the album is Brilliant, an instant Classic 11. LET THERE BE LOVE: Should’ve been the last 4 tracks on the album. It took 7 years to finish. Worth the wait?? Oh yes!! Classic, enough said. The album was recorded in at leasts 4 different studios, with everyone doing everything, Zak Starkey Said That 'All four of them are song writers, there all producers, there all Singers, there all guitar players, and there all fucking drummer' he also said 'i love playing with them and it sounds great when we play, there so on it musicly that its great, ive never met a group of people more on it musicly' in my opinion this album is an isntant classic, Noel even said in a years to come people will be comparing albums To 'Don't Believe the Truth' as they did Deffinetley Maybe. |

I totally agree with what was said above, the album is good.. but nothing compared to their classics.
Although I'll admit, "Lyla" is one of my favorite tunes out of their entire library. Such a catchy-simple acoustic guitar riff. But I don't think I would rush out and buy it, the album isn't that great, but if you're a diehard Oasis fan, like alot of people are.. you may want to check it out. I'm not a huge Oasis fan.. more of a casual one, but I still enjoy their music. Later oN *...SlasH...* |

I definitely agree with Sirrus...Definitely Maybe and to a greater extent, (Whats the Story) Morning Glory are definitely classic 90's album...Ive only heard their new song off of this cd its alright..and a bit of good news i guess, their mega hit Wonderwall was just voted the best British song of all time, beating out every single song by the Beatles among many other bands.
