dont forget Master P's Hoody Hoo song which had the michael myers theme in it(or at least it was close to it). That was sweet.

I would say California Love..I had no idea that Tupac like pretty much stole that song from someone else. I heard it on the GTA soundtrack and it has basically the same beat and lyrics(relatively close).

UB you should of added the poor use of a sample from MC Hammer's "Pumps and a Bump"

Ok good selections would be.

Staind's "So far away song"

Lost Prophet's "Shonobi vs. Dragon Ninja"

Well...when you actually work in music a sample could be a sample of someone elses song you use as your songs back bone, or my case where I do industrial music a sample of me hitting a washer with a hammer and playing it back via-midi through my sampler.

sjdflghd 06-19-2006 07:00 AM

no, a sample is like part of someone elses song that they use in another song. Just look up Puff Daddy, i think every song he made has a sample in it. In fact, like 80% of R&B and rap songs use samples...

Best Use of a Sample?

"Changes" by Tupac
"Lonely People" Talib Kweli
"Thiefs Theme" Nas

off the top of my head

This topic is odd...I thought it meant something along the lines of how hearing a certain part of the song catches peoples attention.

dammit this topic sucks,it almost feels like a quickie topic to get an easy post when your 1 away from 1000 or 2000.
