I would say "Call of Ktulu" by Metallica, because one day I hope to create a metal instrumental masterpiece.

I think a band should be able to speak to their audience in some tracks with no vocals what so ever, that takes a ture musician to do so.

Probably Metallica's Master Of Puppets, that song is my fav Tallica song. Great riffs and two excellent solos especially the interlude solo, it's beautiful. All in all a masterpiece

Im going to agree with Nosferous on this one.The ones I would of wanted to write would be songs you never heard of.I've remade many songs by bands I love including "The Quiet Things No one ever Knows" by Brand New

and yeh i have preferred songs to the ones i chose but to me those songs were great to alot of people even though both are way to overplayed

as much as i love my metal, this song appeals to EVERYONE in any music genre.

What song would you have loved to have come up with that currently exists? For me i'd have to say bohemium (sp?) rhapsody by queen or smells like teen spirit by nirvana cos to me they are two real classics thats i'd love to have my name under.

That's basically like picking a favorite song from all the bands I love. So, really I can't answer this one.

But if I could choose I can guarentee they were never a single so were never on the radio or a video on TV.

Since singles while generally fun and catchy are rarely ever the best material on that respepective album.
