Man Quinny, the new Used album must be pretty decent, the song "Take It Away" is like kick ass man. The guitar riff is awesome, I could imagine this song being an awesome pump up song, for like a basketball or hockey game.

/\coustic

Black Label Society's Hangover Music. Incredible mellow acoustic/electric hybrid stuff.

SPeed Metal

Hollywood Rose (dirty speed metal with Axl on vocals!), Megadeth's TSHF. There are some bad tracks but the first few are great rockers.

"Fun" Pop Rock

"Diamond" Dave! DLR's Eat Em and Smile with Steve Vai.....unreal combination! "Yankee Rose" and "Tobacco Road" rock!

Good Rock n' Roll

Velvet Revolver's "Sucker Train Blues". And I'm in love with Guns n' Roses experimental industrial rocker, "Oh My God" (demo off "End of Days" soundtrack.)

The ProG.

Yep, love my prog....Queensryche Rage for Order is an awesome CD. So much variety and the guitarist is prog's version of Slash.

By the way: Sucka T, I wanted to get M. Head's "Inferno". How is it? Mainly speed metal or slower material?

Coheed and Cambria

This band has to be one of the biggest mysterys in emo/rock.There music tells an amazing story that continues in each cd.I don't wanna spoil anything but there such a great band.

There is this song i like but i dont know who it is. Maybe someone hear knows what song i am talking about. So, its like a rock song, but the guy reminds me of a jamaican rapper. Actually the song reminds me of a song i used to like alot, "Kill Dem All" by Kali Ranks, it was on the show soundtrack. Anyway the song, I THINK, says something like "nobody, nobody gets out alive!" If anyone knows what im talking about , much apreciated!
I believe you are talking about Skindred's new song "Nobody." They've been playing them alot on 94.1 JJO outta Madison, haven't heard them on Lazer 103 yet. I don't know if I like the song, but it's kinda catchy.

Anyways, band of the moment for me is probably Opeth, but just one of their albums, Damnation.

Rammstein's new single Amerika is another song that's been stuck in my head too much lately...

Hell yeah man, the new Used album is definitely worth pickin up, cant really pick out any really bad songs on it...kinda like their other cd with the fact that they mix up screamin songs and ballads (what can i say i'm a sucker for the "ballads" and accoustic songs), definitely worth pickin up if you were a fan of their self titled debut album. And a point of fact, any band in which the guitar player's name is Quinn, they have to kick ass, and the Used definitley proves that even mormons know how to rock.

Well let's see...I have a few things I've been listening to as of late...some new, some not so new...

Green Day - American Idiot

I know some say they're being overplayed now, but this album is really a step forward for Green Day. I see it as much more mature than any of their other cds. There isn't a bad song here, and I can't get the damn songs out of my head.

Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane

The more I try, the more I can't describe these guys. They are not your standard definition of pop, by any means. There are elements of many different styles here, and Adam Levine's vocals are amazing. The song "Sunday Morning" is literally playing through my head 99% of the time now.

Zakk Wylde - Book of Shadows

Most people are used to hearing Zakk play hard hitting heavy metal, but this is a nice change from that, with mostly acoustic songs. Zakk has a really good voice for this kind of thing, and it's quite a beautiful record to listen to.

Finger Eleven - The Greyest Of Blue Skies

After listening to their new self titled album and loving it, I decided I had to listen to this one. And it's a lot more depressing than the new album, although I still really like it. It's more of an aquired taste that will only grab you after about three or four listens. But after that, only can you appreciate how good this cd is.

And that's about it for now. I'm sure there's more though.

Bymnbypeten 01-11-2006 07:00 AM

At the moment I am listening to anything dealing with Iced Earth.

I am a huge underground Metal music fan and these guys come above any band I have ever heard. Which means Metallica can go to hell.

Avaboormavoro 01-18-2006 07:00 AM

Thrice as good eh?

Maypeevophy 04-14-2006 07:00 AM

Well according some lyrics site i went to, "Face to Face" is on their latest cd entitled seasons. Only song i really heard off that cd was Enemy, which is a pretty good song.

QQQQQ-Trek 05-02-2006 07:00 AM

The Faint. Sweet alternative electronica pop whatever.

CHEAPSOFTOEMONLINE 06-01-2006 07:00 AM

Same old stuff

Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver, Megadeth, Motorhead etc

Motorhead's Inferno album released this year is awesome. Only got it a few weeks ago but that is the main one in my CD player, then I listen to various songs from the other bands listed.

Lebybynctisee 06-17-2006 07:00 AM

Recently i bought the new Sum 41 cd, Chuck, and to say the least i am very impressed by the groups latest effort. Definitely builds on the style they used in Does this look infected...also i have been listenin to the Spirit Room by Michelle branch, i discovered this cd a while back, and hadnt listened to it very much, but i listened to it about 4 or so times the other night, and i have to say it is a great cd, even though Hotel Paper is better.

Man, you're cool. Underground and shit. \m/

Anyway, I'm still in love with Monster Magnet, but I've had a real W.A.S.P. day today. Gotta love W.A.S.P. Megedeth's new album finally got a listen, and it sounds good. Other than that I've been listening to Slayer's Reign In Blood, NIN's The Downward Spiral, Zakk Wylde's Book Of Shadows and loads of Immortal and Kreator. Recently I experienced Fuck... I'm Dead for the first time, and ... you know, it's so brutal I can't do nothing but liking it.

So, to sum things up, my bands/artists of the moment are:

* Monster Magnet
* W.A.S.P.
* Nine Inch Nails
* Megadeth
* Immortal
* Kreator
* Slayer
* Zakk Wylde
* Fuck... I'm Dead

And right now I'm listening to Black Label Society's Alcohol Fueled Brewtality +5.

Albums of the Moment

Sigur Rós - Ágćtis Byrjun
I'm really into this at the moment, especially "Olsen Olsen," "Starálfur" and "Svefn-G-Englar." They're all very haunting tracks and very very woo.

Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape
Mostly because it's very fitting for me at the moment. "February Stars," "Hey, Johnny Park!" and "Everlong" are particularly striking to me.

Cigarsstoreonline 06-26-2006 07:00 AM

* Hopefully you meant Cohheed and Cambria, because they are a truly amazing band, very very fresh, and they are finally gettin their much needed recognition in the music world.

Anyways right now i am listenin to the Used's new Album "In Love and Death" a lot, as well as American Idiot (every song cept for American Idiot, dont really care for it much)...But lately i have been really gettin into Michelle Branch, so i am listenin to Hotel Paper alot, as well as Songs about Jane by Maroon 5, and of course the Fragile by Nine Inch Nails, which is a truly great album probably their best one outside of the Downward Spiral.

I got the new Rammstein album from Germany, that is pretty good, the tracks all have a different feel to them, and the video for Amerika is hilarious. I have also been listening to alot of the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack, because I usually do this time of the year. Other than that it has been the same rotation of the thousands of mp3s on my computer.
