I've heard it on the radio a few times, most recently this morning on the way to work.
It sounds like Cornell's voice, and I believe it is Cornell's voice, because it's so recognizable...but searching through all Soundgarden's lyrics I can't find it...and I'm pretty sure it's not Audioslave. I don't know the lyrics too well. I thought it was called Cultural Personality...cuz that's what I thought I heard being said most often, it was early and I was tired, but I can't even get anything for that on a google search lol. I know the song brings up JFK and Stalin...and ends with two historical quotes, the last one is "the only thing to fear..." But yeah, if anyone has any clue what the song may be, reply! |

oh dear god........
ITs the BAND--- LIVING COLOR ( like the tv show), the song--CULT of PERSONALITY....the song came out in like 90 or 91 the sing Corey Glover (nephew of actor Danny Glover, yup a rarity back then, ---a AFRICAN-AMERICAN metal band) , doesn't really sound like CHRIS CORNELL. dude your making me feel REAL old.......LOL I don't blame ya though, that song has a BAD ASS guitar riff. The guitar player---vernon reid, is a amazingly funky , skilled guitar player. unfortunately the band never caught on and only had a couple albums out. I think what did them in was the fact they really didn't write songs that had "HOOKS" to them so they didn't try to write more badass stuff like "CULT of....". they weren't interested in catchy riffs and they concentrated on social messages in the songs. the quote at the end, I think is president FDR, " the only thing we have to fear is fear itself" [ March 21, 2005, 05:43 AM: Message edited by: kevhulk73 ] |
