Easy choice, it would be the Final Fantasy 7 soundtrack.(Kingdom Hearts, another Square game, comes 2nd)

It had an outstanding piece of music for every mood you were in, angry, happy, sad, tired, energetic, etc. And it fitted the game so well, each character having the perfect theme, and each location being accompanied by excellent music helped to make this game the success it was, the Music, in opinion, is one of THE most important aspects of a great game or film.

JENOVA

Not sure if it counts, but the soundtrack to Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars: The Motion Picture is something else. The versions of Width Of A Circle and Moonage Daydream with those ridiculously long instrumental breaks while Bowie is offstage changing costumes are unreal.

The Braveheart Soundtrack of course.
And maybe The Crow Soundtracks

I actually don't buy a lot of soundtracks, but I just bought the Punisher one last week. I'm not sure why exactly I bought it; I think because I heard some cool song playing during the trailer (Which actually turned out NOT to be on the CD), but it's actually a really great CD. It's got Seether featuring Amy Lee (From Evanesance), Puddle of Mudd, Trapt, and a whole bunch of other pretty good bands.

Ah, the Desperado OST id just wonderful. Other films by Rodriguez has also got great soundtracks. Same goes for most Tarantino films.

The Pulp Fiction and most of Tarantino's films have great soundtracks. I like the Freddy vs. Jason soundtrack and from the looks of it, The Punisher's soundtrack should be pretty kick-ass too.

Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2(not twin snakes though cause that has techno crap in it) i love this soundtrack probably the best one i have heard for a game i espcially love the Metal Gear Score like the main one i thought that was amazing and i can't help myself from humming alone to it everytime i hear it.

other than that i really liked Revolutions i thought the score(Neodämmerung i believe) for the last fight with Neo and Smith fitted it well and i thought Don Davis did fantastic work there.

The Singles Soundtrack, grunge goodness with some Jimi and such to go with it. Also for a more recent selection, Underworld has a great sound track consisting of a lot of Maynard James Keenan. Keenan even performs a song with David Bowie, that's nuts. Amy Lee, Finch, and others appear as well.

Peace.

I don't remember many soundtracks particularly well, but Matrix Reloaded and Daredevil (with evanescence, nickelback, seether etc.) were both damn good ones

The pulp fiction soundtrack is good as it really suits the whole film, but my favourite is a song that suits the film and also is a song that I really like, it is I dissapear By Metallica for Mission Impossible 2

I don't usually buy soundtracks either. The only ones I have are Titanic (the music touched me ok!) and I just saw Y2Jay's post and remembered I have the Grease soundtrack too. Since I only have 2 I'd have to say that is my favourite, I love the songs from that movie. Yes, they are cheesy but no musical can beat Grease.

And I saw Daredevil at the cinema, I remember hating the movie but recalling the music to be quite cool, especially Evanescence and Nickleback.

I cant really remember the songs off many soundtracks but if I had to choose I would have to go retro and go for GREASE http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.png http://www.gamingring.com/forum/images/custom/afro2.gif http://www.gamingring.com/forum/imag...tom/banana.gif http://www.gamingring.com/forum/imag...rinbounce2.gif

Your favourite soundtrack

What is the best soundtrack for a film or game you have or have heard?

Mine is the Pulp Fiction soundtrack i have it and its wicked, i like a lot all the songs in the film and there all on the soundtrack; at the beginning of some songs they have a line from the scene the song was used in. Three of the songs are just scenes from the film one is the beginning scene between Jules and Vincent in the car "Royal with cheese", the second is "Personality goes a long way" from the last scene were they are having breakfast in the restaurant and the last one is the whole speech from Jules "Ezekiel 25:17" which is very well acted out by Samuel L Jackson in the film in my opinion.
