my 3 faveourite guitarists ever all made top 10 !!!

halelula !

Tonni Iommi, Rhandy roads and Zakk wylde. awesome.

good to see real 'tarists makin it up there.

38. Jerry Cantrell--Alice in Chains
-he needs to be on up a bit i recon.

12. Jimi Hendrix - finally, a list that dosent lick this over-rated, but still good, guitarist.

17. Yngwie Malmsteen - HE SHOUDL BE TOP 10. this guy knows guitar liek we know how to butter bread, thats means thoughlessly. the guita is this guys mind, his thoughts transpsoed into beautiful notes.

60. Stephen Carpenter--Deftones - get out of this list.

10. Kerry King & Jeff Hanneman--Slayer - HURRAH! SWEET JUSTICE !

30. Daron Malakian--System of a Down - WHAT THE FUCK! die u pathetic excuse of a 'tarist.

not a bad list. as with any list, there are a few hick-ups, but to be expected, but the reall playes mostly got justified.

good to see Iommi at numero uno, as his riffs layed out the road that was METAL. theyve been covered by ozzy, zakk wylde, metallica, megadeth, biohazzard, pantera, rob zombie, slayer, machine head, iced earth, selpultura, system fo a down, iron maiden even payed repsect to them. in fact. TWO ENTIRE ALBUMS of black sabbth covers by various bands

metallica have give big shout outs before, and zakk wylde, the worlds best current touring 'tarist says 'they were the architechts for everything'

sweet sweet justice.

Yo~

26. Head & Munky--koRn
27. John Petrucci--Dream Theater

That right there summarizes the raging stupidity of that list.

96. Alexi Laiho--Children of Bodom

WTF!!!!

At least the Megadeth duo was near the top. Still, a pretty retarded list.

He meant that there's no way Head and Munky from Korn is better then Petrucci, and I agree.

IMO Petrucci and Cantrell both should be quite a bit higher.

Peace.

I've heard too little sleep makes you stupid. I suggest you get some sleep, because John Petrucci absolutely deserves to be on that list.

i read at yahoo news that the editor put Hendrix at 12 because he thought he wasn't really metal but that doesn't really make sense since a lot of those bands on the list aren't metal.

and it's really sad to see the Korn guys on the list let alone above Petrucci, Thayil, Cantrell, and the other 70 something guys beneath them

definately gotta give props Kirk Hammet and James Hetfield. There are some bands on there that should not be on that list. Dave Mustaine should at least be in the top 10.

This isn't really top 100 if people are sharing a spot but good to see some decent names on there but there are some pretty bad ones too.

LoL yeah I meant that the guys from KoRn were right ahead of him on the list, I didn't mean he didn't deserve to be there.

Megadeth,Metallica, AC/DC and Zepplin in the Top 20, that's awesome, I get Guitar world every month, such a great magazine, but what the hell is up with Korn... IMO they aren't even top 300.
