Default Rap/Reggeaton
So Who Here Likes Rap and takes into Consideration into they sing Rap?

I Personally Love Rap,it represents who i am,and and who people are, some races besides blacks and hispanics don't like Rap b/c they were lucky enough to not go through the struggles black/hispanics had to go through.

Rap represents the lives of the singers when they were growing up and seeing the struggles their family had to make in order to give them a good education and a Place to live.

Most Rap/Reggeaton Artists had to hustle when they were little, either go out and sell anything you could and support your family, and also see the gang fights that were going on in the so place called "Ghetto",people were killed.

Thats why i inspire Most of the people that sing Rap/Reggeaton,because they sing with passion and basically telling us what they had to go through while they were growing up.

What are your toughts?

There is some rap that I like and there is other that I just can't stand to hear. Reggeaton I just dislike, but overall it's a pretty unique way to express one's self.

I like rap, i hate reggeaton. I dunno how people like that when it's all the same one beat.

I do have to say though. You sound incredibly ignorant. A whole lot of rap fans are white/other raced people. Your putting a huge generalization on the type of people who make rap which is way off, Most of what they do is too make money it's as simple as that. The only real people who stay true are the ones you hear on mix tapes. Don't try to put yourself with those people who actually had to struggle hard, and to say a whole race feels the way you do is wrong.

LOL,i just found this video of reggeaton and rap together.

Daddy yankee featuring snoop Dog..the real G.

This video was made in Puerto Rico, and all those guys u see hanging around is true live audience.

i saw how they made the video,on "making the video"

thats is the ghetto of some city in puerto rico.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c5ROFNSdk0

Best part is when snoop dog lays that smackdown!

BTW,that video is straight up how they live, and thats why most rappers are happy of what they do.

daddy yankee lived in that same neighborhood where te video was made.

u see how poor it is?

look at him now....

WTF?

theres a whole bunch of white rappers that are popular,eminem...he a true G

why im i being ignorant?

alot of white people struggle, but this isn't about struggling..its about why they sing it...

alot of people struggle, but people express themselves by singing rap.

you are the first puerto rican to not like reggeaton, reggeaton is the shit man.

also, notice how reggeaton is what people sing in puerto rico, but i guess its ok...everyone has their own opinions.

Yeah, I just don't like it. The reason I said you were being ignorant by saying you put a generalization on groups of people. Also what you said Rap represents the lives of the singers when they were growing up and seeing the struggles their family had to make in order to give them a good education and a Place to live. You made a statement which is not entirely true.

Their Rappers not Singers. BTW

*shrugs*

I have to say the same on the same beat part. I've always noticed that, and wondered if I was the only one that thought that. I like Rap, and rarely, well really never can get into Raggeaton.

I enjoy listening to rap, but I disagree with what you said here.

Rap represents the lives of the singers when they were growing up and seeing the struggles their family had to make in order to give them a good education and a Place to live.
These days, rap doesn't represent that as much, rap more represents about smacking/banging a hoe or getting some money, anything similary related to that.

Rap these days have become more hip hop/RnB, so the themes change as well. But yeah, there are still artists out there that do rap about what happens out in their neighbourhood.

El Playa, rap aint just about "Poor people comin up and becomin rich and tellin there stories" thats bullshit. Theres plenty of rappers out there that didnt come from the "projects" or the "hood" etc and make plenty of money still and write alot better than some of the "projects" rappers do.

I think you have quite an immature veiw on rap music, and music in general, just from your daddy yankee comments. What they do in them videos, is find the worst of the area that there shootin in and do it to make it look grimey, and as cool as it looks you aint tellin me that normally 300 blokes would hang round waitin for snoop dog to come? I guarantee you, snoop will have had an army of 10 minders at least, that aint gangsta, but he has to have them.

I aint sayin rappers like daddy yankee didnt have a hard upbringing but not many of daddy yankees songs does he actually mention it, nor does Jay Z, Dre, Snoop etc, ok theres the occasional song, but as people have rightly said its more hoes, guns and money now.

Try listenin to rappers like Big Daddy Kane, Sugerhill gang, Run DMC, LL Cool J(early stuff), its miles better than the "commercial" crap that comes out now like your daddy yankee, whos in the same league as Bow Wow, Kanye West etc, that all make music for "THE CHARTS" not for the love of the music.
