i also see the lights in geometric shapes behind my eyes. the only way to keep up with them is to not focus on them but to let them form in my peripheral. one question though. has anyone felt or heard a loud popping in their head that's only audible to you? when it happens, from time to time, it's always as i'm falling asleep. oh and to people trying to activate your pineal gland.. it happened for me with extreme visualization. i was visualizing a theory for why galaxies spin that i was coming up with at the time.. then pop... zooom... saw the galaxy.. the universe.. the multiverse.. then thousands of multiverses... twas intense. watch this video.. gopi describes the same experience.. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...hka8qgok34ijbq later |

i've read accounts of people experiencing flashes from our inner-light, or the light in our heads. i am just curious if these flashes are perceptions of the mind within ourselves, or if they are in fact visible light shooting out of the eyes?
experienced responses would be much appreciated. thank you. |

light shooting out of the eyes?
i wouldn't know, but i am certain nothing shoots out of the eyes. when i see lights, my eyes are closed, and in most cases it is night, either late at night or early in the morning. predominantly violet, besides that gold, little green, white (usually at the center). the colours are alway pulsating, changing form and very bright. regards detlef |

detlef,
thanks for posting on this. it used to be when i closed my eyes "the shapes" had mostly a green hue. now, most of the time "these shapes" have mostly a purple (you used violet) hue. i really liked how you wrote about these - not really forms or anything in particular... also, the "time of day" you mention - could have something to do with certain brain frequency? alpha would be my guess... pretty much 100% agreement on what you wrote. one question, have you had "a fractal effect", where the forms would seem to zoom in or out and repeat? again, always nice to know others experience similar things! wish i had a little more to offer than my subjective perception... as far as these "visions" detlef and i are referring to, i'm not sure they're generated from the pineal gland/third eye. simply an altered state of perception... art p.s. - when it comes to the topic of "seeing lights" there are alot of different "types" based on my experience. here would be my list, so far. i apologize in advance for the wording here! 1. prana lights - little swirling lights that can be seen against a blue sky. usually perceived during calm state of mind. focus on clear sky (helps if there are trees nearby) and they start to appear. don't have much success in trying to focus in on any single individual and "follow its path". shape can best be described as tiny spheres, sometimes comets. duration is as long as you want... 2. flashes - intense white light usually in the peripheral vision. tend to happen randomly and don't last too long. usually experience inside while reflecting upon information, researching information, writing posts, etc. have not had any success in trying to focus on them, just happen to notice them from time to time, again in peripheral. shapes vary. duration is less than a second. 3. spheres - these tend to occur while i am teaching (i'm a mathematics teacher). alot larger than the prana lights, and occur singularly (only one at a time). usually notice that when they get my attention and i focus on them, they tend to move off and disappear. shape is as mentioned. duration has been 3-5 seconds. 4. "larger spheres"/orbs - these differ from the sphere's mentioned above in that their size was much larger and there was also some transparency to them (hence the use of the word orb). has only happened twice and both times i sensed other people could see them. both times was during class. shape again as mentioned. duration was more than 5 seconds. the above are based on what i've seen with open eyes. with closed eyes, 5. blobs/forms - the content of the post prior to post script. 6. geometric shapes - usually can perceive if i rub my eyes and/or put a little pressure. i don't attribute this to anything special in particular, as it takes more than thought (physical action) to achieve. 7. large white light - happened only once during an obe. that is probably the best i can offer at this time. i don't see auras and am very poor at recall after meditation. have had only a handful of visions which i do believe were seen with third eye. always have to be a little skeptical of an over-active imagination, but #'s 2, 3, & 4 have happened randomly while 1, 5, 6, & 7 happen through intent. |

hi logan91. i don't know anything about light actually being beamed or flashed through the eyes but it could be possible if the thought exists. last night, as i was drifting off to sleep, i had this vission of a big door which was slightly open with really bright white light streaming through the opening. this really took me by surprise and i came out of my sleepy state immediately.
could i ask how long your 3rd eye has been activated? did you open it yourself gradually through meditation or was it activated for you in one hit? love ds |

i've read accounts of people experiencing flashes from our inner-light, or the light in our heads. i am just curious if these flashes are perceptions of the mind within ourselves, or if they are in fact visible light shooting out of the eyes? i am a medical student and can assure you that it is impossible for light to emerge from the orbit as there is no em creating (in the form of light) organ that is capable of doing such a thing in the human body. art is correct when he talks about an altered state of perception--that's the light you're "seeing." the shapes and colors art described are exactly what i see too when i meditate -- but they are thought patterns ... not an actual biological movie theater going on in my head. the pineal gland does not have a photoreceptor layer(s) of cells (trust me, ... i know--i've dissected human bodies before in class) and have seen more histological and pathomorphology slides (cross-sections) of every organ in the body (including the pineal) than i can count. there are absolutely no cells capable of creating physical light like a light bulb or the sun or any star in your body, and even if your pineal worked like a light bulb, there would be no transmission to the eye (i.e. orbit) as the neural connections transform light into electrial synapses (going to the brain, not away from it to the eye or anywhere else). that is to say, there is electrical conductivity between the eye and pineal, but it does not light up in much the same way your computer's circuits run electricity through themselves and their wires, but the cirucuit board doesn't actually glow like a bulb. the so-called activation detlef speaks of, is of the release of chemicals used to maintain your diurnal rhythm (and perhaps a few other homeostatic responses). when people speak of the "third eye" effect, they mean it in a metaphysical sense, and not in a literal light-bulb like, hologram creating device. hope this helps!! |

i often get a tingling sensation at the point between my eyebrows aka third eye point. it usually happens at night when i'm going to sleep or during meditation. i feel like it is in th eprocess of slowly awakening its true power. i have noticed increased intuitive acuity although i'm not sure what to exspect during a full blown activation. i would imagine psychic powers, th eability to astral travel ect.

after reading about the pinealgland here on the forum and watching the 2012 enigma i visited some friends i hadn't seen for very long and through whom i some 10 years ago met a woman who now is a wellknown medium and also my teacher. they also moved close to the place where i live when i'm in stockholm.
on my way there i passed through a small forested part and what do i find on the path! a pinecone inside a small plastic pot with a magnifying glasslidto me this smiley doesn't mean "sarcastic" but that my spirits rose to heaven... .....and perhaps that i shoul try to activate my pineal gland....gosh i actually don't see how i should find all the time to all the spiritual - and other- work i have to do... transiten |

i've had tingling and pressure right on the third eye area for some time now. sometimes i've had it happen when doing something important (reading something spiritual) or meditating and other times the pressure seems to increase during mundane times like standing in line at the bank!
i always think that it's "my spidey senses tingling". there was a post some time back about opening the pineal in three days with making a special tone. you need to do it three days in a row. i was going to try it but haven't had the privacy to do it. megan |

hi logan91. it sounds like you have activated your crown chakra and your 3rd eye simutaneously, hence the stream of energy and light streaming through your eyes. is the energy circulating only in your head or throughout your body? if it's coming through the crown, circulating in the head and then exiting through the crown again, it probably means you have one or more blocked or underactive chakras. these need to be unblocked or balanced.
the pressure you feel between your eyes may mean a further activation of the 3rd eye but i wouldn't encourage you try to open it further on your own until the rest of your energy centres are cleared and balanced. perhaps the other forum members would like to comment? this balancing will enable the full light body activation to take place and allow the energy to flow freely. the point is - what does all this mean to you and what do you want to do with this energy? there's heaps of information available if you need to learn about these things. accept whatever resonates with you. as for the experience with the light, well, just take it and accept it for what it is -an experience! love ds |

forgive me if i am posting too late for this thread on activating the pineal center...or the third eye. i was directed here by a dear friend and member. i have a serious question on opening this particular chakra...and i was hoping and praying some for guidance.
a little background is necessary. i was having some work done on my head and shoulder area by a qualified physical therapist...for a 3 week old headache. he uses a unique technique known as primal reflex release technique and some kind of emotional release. i went into the meditative state while on the table...so that i would be open to that which i needed to hear for my healing. all was going along well, until the pt placed his hand over my head and chest area...without touching me...and my body began spasming out. i began shivering and quaking involuntarily. he stopped the session because he didnt know what was happening. i didn't either. i researched this...and all i could come up with was what john van auken , an are member and someone i trust...he stated, "in revelation, st. john associates body-shaking (“earthquakes”) with the opening of the sixth chakra." my question is this...if my physical therapist faciliated my opening of my third eye...can this be dangerous...in anyway? has anyone ever experienced this body shaking? i have for years now...experienced the lights...but nothing like this. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks from a first time poster, tereserose |
