John Edward...I've only seen him a few times when they used to air his tv show here. Very charismatic, very frenetic when he gets into doing his thing. From the little I've seen, he seems to be pretty good.
I haven't heard of Lisa Williams so can't comment there. Sylvia Browne...I think I mentioned her in another post somewhere. Personally I don't care for her at all. I find her to be very negative, with a touch of arrogance - and from all of the times I've heard her on her radio broadcast, doing readings through Hayhouse, she comes across (to me) as inaccurate and highly repeatable; i.e., she gives the same advice over and over and over again to various callers. If you listen long enough you'll find her top things are 'get your thyroid checked', 'eat more protein', 'you should get into real estate', etc. I find her so predictable that I actually know what she's going to tell the person before she says it. And I find her dispensing medical advice to people scary. On one show a woman called in and said she'd been having stomach pain for months, and Sylvia's advice to her - not asking anything about her condition, or if she'd had tests done or had anything ruled out medically - was to lie over the end of her bed and do stomach crunches. (yikes!) She told one woman who called to ask how her job situation was going that the woman's boss was going to give her a promotion very soon...the woman paused and said, "But...I haven't been working in over a year. That's why I called, to see when I would get a job". She's told some people not to listen to their drs, that the advice the dr was giving was wrong, etc. etc. One person I know paid for a reading from Sylvia a couple of years ago - I believe she paid well over $600 for it - and she was extremely upset because the entire reading was dead wrong...all of it. Anyway, guess I feel pretty strongly about Sylvia Browne. One of the things that irks me the most about her is the constant negativity...she refers to life on Earth as a 'hellhole' and we will only be happy once it's over, for example. I cringe whenever I hear her saying such things. I do know a lot of people follow her and believe in her; so she's just not for me. |

I was just curious on anyone thought of people like I've watched her on the Montel Williams show when I was younger, I was fascinated but as I grew up and learned more about her and saw her outrageous prices on her site Lisa though I don't know how real she is, she does seem to have a comforting way about her on her show like she doesn't make it sound scary that your loved ones are around and there's something more cozy about doing a reading in your house versus what John does in his studio. I mean how can you get so many ghosts to appear on tv? Apparently even after you die, you thrist for fame |

I personally connect with Lisa because I read in the same style (even before I knew she existed!) John is good, confusing sometimes but he has such detailed information that I'm in awe of his clarity.
I get images, hear sounds, but I still have not had that "CLEAR" of.. Oh his name is Alphonzo and he died in a red 1950 corvette... etc. I see the red car, I hear an A name and know its male and can tell it was an accident. Sylvia Brown has gotten a bit big for her britches. She was once spot on, now she makes so much money, it has clouded her abilities to help others. She sees dollars instead of dead people! LOL Alison I also love - she is a true wonder as well. There are so many more, like James VP. He was my inspiration as well as Edgar Cayce. Well there's my 3 cents Laura - aka Pagan Medium |

HI,
I think alot of these people that have been mentioned are show peoople who want to be on stage and in it for the money. Which as we all known is definitely wrong. bBeing a medium should be treated as the most natural thing in the world do you walk down the street with an ego? so why should you have an ego if spirit give you information to pass on to their loved ones? whithout them you are nothing and as quick as something can be given it can be taken away. My feeling is that they all have some ability to some extent although watching Sylvia Browne on TV she seems a little vague with questions that people ask her on the other hand though I own most of her books and read probably half of them they are real informative and what she has to say makes alot of sense.I would recommend reading "Life on the other side"By Sylvia Browne that is probably one of the most interesting books I ever read about the afterlife.
I have also read and watched John Edward he is also good on TV and reading.I just bought his box DVD set It tell you how to meditate, how to contact your guides etc pretty good. I just like Lisa Williams in general. She seems to be real and so nice!I just bought her new book but haven't read it yet.I guess I am an addict to people that have these abilities and am trying to develope my own and hopefully someday I will be able to do it too. How about James VanPraagh? |
