Hmm, the way you describe your experience.. it seems like your psychic hearing is being activated! It would be wise to google "clairaudience" for getting more information on how to develop this ability. Everyone has it (just like all other psychic senses) but we have been taught to ignore these perceptions from early childhood. Try to focus on your hearing even more. Here's a simple way to focus better:
Place one hand near your ear and one hand on your chest/heart chakra. Listen.. & above all practise..

I was actually sitting in traffic today and noticed myself listening to each individual noise and conciously stating what each one was.

I will definitely pay more attention, and try your suggestion! Thanks a lot!

I hear those bells too and often think it's my phone.

Recently I've been hearing the sound of vibrations...I'd compare it to what a cell phone sounds like on vibrate...so I'm constantly reaching for my phone to find that wasn't the case. This I hear quite often at any point during the day.

I've also been hearing bells at night time, like a tiny little ornament bell you would hang on your christmas tree. Sometimes I think it is my dog's collar jingling as she walks, when in fact she is not around.

Lastly, a few times in the past week or so at night I have heard a soft voice next to my right say my name. It could have been a hallucination, but I don't take drugs.

Can anyone please explain the reason for these occurences to me and why? Or I am just a basket case? Thanks!

In my own path, those bells and the soft speaking of my name in the middle of the night, as well as the sound of a phone ringing, are signals of ET connections. Typically, it's for the purpose of data transmissions that we've agreed to help with and I don't fear them although I have occasionally felt quite disoriented by them.

I agree with whomever posted that you should practice. I think it's always prudent to pay attention and ask for clarification on how Spirit is signalling us.
