Wow I got that experience too with the loud wing flapping. I thought it was an angel or my guide trying to get my attention.. I heard the sound right behind me and I screamed/yelled "WHAT!?!" (Automatic reaction) And I turned around and saw nothing. My brother who was playing a video game on the other side of the room turned around and was like "What's wrong with you!?" And I replied, "DID YOU NOT HEAR THE FLAPPING OF THE BIRDS!?"

It was so funny because I must have looked like a freak to him (he didn't hear the sound) ..

Ok lets see how I describe this without sounded like Ive lost my mind completely....LOL

I was walking through the store one afternoon getting groceries like any other time and all of a sudden this sort of "fluttering" noise filled my eardrum. It was really loud just in my left ear and stopped me where I stood...taking me by total surprise. I told my daughter(the one I feel has some sort of intuitive tendencies as well) and not quite sure if shes just telling me what she thinks I want to hear (shes 9) but says its happened to her too.

Can anyone give me any ideas as to what that could have been or if its happened to them as well? I have a theory but just not sure.

I have had it happen too...I think there may be info on it here in the forums but not sure..other than that, I'm pretty sure that it is a spirit or your guides trying to communicate with you(or anyone in general) when that happens.

Is it almost like your ear drum? I think i've had it loads... i've always assumed my ear drum was having a spasm... i dont even know if thats possible lol. Ihad no idea it could mean something else

Well Im glad to see that Im not the only person on earth that has had such a thing happen to them. I would love to be able to find that post here.

It was much like what you would think a spasm would be like tho. My first thought was wings of a bird fluttering. That was the sound it made, only very loud. My theory is it was an angel.

As for a spirit or guide trying to get my attention, they did---heres another instance in the same store that happened on a different day.

This was something that actually tugged on the hood of my coat. So much of a tug that I turned around to say something to someone that I assumed was there....LOL. I figured it was a friend of mine. But no one was there.

Now that you mention that it sounded like the wings ofa bird, it reminds me of something that happened a few months ago.
I was tidying my room and i bent down to pick something up. I distinctly heard above me the flapping of wings. So much so that for a split second before i looked up i thought a bird had got through a window. Funnily enough i had never thought of it being angels. Thank you
It was very different to the eardrum thing though. Do you think, if it is your guides speaking to you, that you get the message subconsciously? How do you think it works?

Well as for the subconscious aspect....thats a good question ! Im not quite sure how it works.

If I understood your question right, for me it was just a thought as if I knew it, but didnt for sure. Make sense? Im finding that I have intuitive tendencies as well as being an empath so this whole realm is very much a "learn as I go" type process.

Im not so good at trusting what messages I get so I tend to question everything that happens to me to make sure Im just not plain crazy....LOL

Hi Daydreamer, in my experiences, the questioning phase was part of the process...Spirit/Guides/Angels expect it and are quite understanding...haven't had the fluttering experience though...

Thanks for your reply Tinkerbell and your information. I have tried a few different searches through the forum and havent found anything yet. Trying to think of different variations to search for now.
