Before i started meditating in the late 80's i had an experience that changed my life and set me on a spiritual path.

My mum died of pancreatic cancer in March 1987 after being very ill for over a year. About an hour after she passed, I was in the kitchen when the air seemed to change... then I felt her spirit pass through me and she said Everything you told me is true. Now I had been going to yoga and at the end we used to meditate using a candle, and I'd done that with my mum and said I believe there is something after u die. My brother died at 18, in 1976, and my mum kinda stopped believing in God, after that... anyway, I knew she was dying that year and used to talk to her about my bro and told her I'd had a dream about him around 1980 when he visited me and we spent a day together. At the end of the dream he said I have to go now and I couldn't stop crying. He said he had work to do and he would show me. We went to place like the Lebanon and there white buldings that were blown up. A soldier was running across the road. He got shot and his body fell down and his spirit got up and kept running. My bro and other souls surrounded him and told him he had passed and they were going to take him with them. It was amazing. I knew nothing of these kind of things then (lol). But i knew the dream was real. When I woke up I was really sobbing... but felt v blessed to have had the dream.

Anyway, back to the kitchen ... I felt like ecstasy times a million flow thru me and I just knew mum and bro were together again and we were all crying for ourselves..

I couldnt tell any of my siblings cos I thought they'd think i was MAD... I went upstairs and put the radio on and a song came on by Peaches and Herbs called REUNITED... the words go "reunited and it feels so good, reunited, and there's one perfect thing, we're both so excited cos we reunited".. then I had a wonderful gift.. I saw my mum and my bro and they were Hugging....!!!

And when the Macmillan (cancer nurse) came back for some things, etc, after mum passed, she sat down in the kitchen with me and my sis , and she said before she died your mum told me she had a dream about my bro and he said don't be afraid, when its your time, i'm going to come for u and hold out my arms and take u with me.....!!! And that's what I saw ....

I was truly godsmacked....lol... so when i was offered a place in a home development circle later that year run by the president of the spiritualist church i said yes and went for 2 years.

Have seen both of them lots of times since, and count myself v blessed to have had that experience. I know working as a psychic medium how much it hurts to lose a loved one and how much it can help to have a reading, because it's such a blessing to connect with our loved ones...

I would like that, but no hurry take all the time in the world. I have realized I need to relax and take a deep breath. All will come in time. Some time in PM I will tell you the story of my mom. You will like her. Now is not the time tho..

I think that is a lovely story, Jan. I really need work at my faith in the arena of death and dying. I get so worked up thinking about my parents getting older, etc. But a story like tht remnds me that they will always be there in spirit and that there has to be comfort in that.
