But you have some of it right lol. You can trance and not entirely leave your body, which takes practice. Most do leave their body and have no recollection of the messages given to the sitter until they hear it played back on the tape recorder.

Channel mediums are what most of us here are. We hear spirit and our guides and then we relay the messages to you.

There is also a Physical Medium, those are very rare and you can see spirit enter and exit there body in a goo like substance called ectoplasm.

I recently read about "Transfigure Mediums". They are rare!

They use a red light on the medium so you can see the ectoplasm over the mediums face easier (the light isnt a necessity). The person who transitioned now has there face superimposed over the mediums face.

the first thing that came to me after reading that was Holy Crap!! could you imagine the connection one would have to have with God in order to have that much trust in doing such things?

Hi Tibby. There are diffrent types of readings, and each person who does readings have there "strong" points.
Clairaudience - Intuitive
This is a person who will pick up a thought and hear it.
Clairvoyance- Visionary
This is a person who will pick up a thought and see it.
Clairsentience - This is a person who will pick up a thought and just knows it.
Clairsentience - Feeler This is a person who will pick up a thought and transform it immediately into a feeling.

You can look them up on the for a better understanding.

Even though each person has there strong point each one uses there strong points and goes to the same place.

Some call it there higher self, meaning there spirit that connects to all things. Others God, or the divine. There guides. Some with no belife in religion will simply connect to the energy of whats around them. All things stem from energy and vibration

Each reader is "connecting" to there higher source no matter what their beliefs in spirituality or religion may be.

(scientifically) during meditation our brain waves Beta, alpha, delta frequency alters very similar to how when a person has a lucid dream.

A reading is ment to help empower the person being read. There is normally some type of advice in a reading or something to help the person deal with situations.

A person can do a reading with or without divination tools. the tools can be literally anything, simply holding a person object, cards leaves, stones. pendulums, runes. I know someone who last minute decided to use a bowl of soup.

It all starts with intention, The objects or tools I see as secondary, a way to help the reading focus on the task at hand.

This is just my version of how I see readings. When I do a reading I usually have Cards sitting near by. I use them to help clarify what I am getting. Or do a specific spread to help me in recieving the message.

There are many different methods to gain information from the astral as Smiles4u has said.

Each reader is different, If you decide to have a reading, please don't live your life through it. One thing we are here to learn is separation, by this I mean we are here to experince what its like to make our own choices. Now most often when we search out a reader we're for the most part at a cross road looking for someone to give us the answers, when really those answers are within us. We just need to take action!

Just as Balance says, they are for helping you to make choices in your life but not for concrete ways to live it.

Too many get caught up asking for readings, every day, every week, every month.

It is best to get a reading (full one) about once a year. Many do this on their birthday and keep a record of it.
The only exception is if something major happens in your life. A wedding, a birth, a death, an accident. Then you may get a reading to see if the previous reading has changed after the major event.

We cannot see everything that will happen in your life, we're not meant to. We can warn you of issues with a mate, help you to direct your career path if your not certain, and give you hope when you lose a loved one.
