I'm very shocked today...kinda overwhelmed I'd say..I discovered a resource that's been at my disposal for-ever but I never learned how to use it fully. I'm not going to say I know of it all now but...I must say I discovered something new...about the power the resource can give me...It's my University Id card..I never knew the card made available an entire library of books from every section of life for me to read from the comfort of my bed!
Like, I use the engineering section but had never bothered to see the others..I discovered today that the Academic card can actually also turn into my entrance to a fun park..like, really! You know, I look back and can't imagine where we are...to me, it's kinda shocking that there's 1000's of good books (like O'riley, princeton) books like text books available right there..all I have to do is click for free thanks to the University digital library..I still remember the olden days where you needed to pay a big amount to even get your hands on these books. So, an engineering student would never have looked at psychology, business or any other book... We've advanced so much...Isn't it a nice thing? Anyway, what's the thing that you appreciate most today that you didn't have while growing up? |

I'm like you mystic the world is advancing so quickly. I consider myself young and up to date with electronics (computers) but things are changing so fast that everday it seems something new and better comes out. I get use to one thing and have to relearn it all over again LMAO.
Ok, my point now. I'm happy to just have the internet especially if the kids get sick or a rash etc. Need to look up any type of question I have and boom it's there. We didn't have that back in the day hahahaha. Love and blessings ![]() |

The internet for sure. I have the whole world at my fingertips and get to meet people from everywhere. Growing up we didn't have a car because my mom was too afraid to get a drivers license so we relied on other people in the family or cabs, buses. So I definitely appreciate having a vehicle. I remember my mom walking me to the doctor after a bee sting that swelled my hand up like a boxing glove. I got a shot and then we caught a bus home. Even though those times were hard I miss them so.
