I have only read one book of hers and try to catch her on montel when possible. While reading the one book it seemed as though not only for myself but hubby as well a contradiction was taking place. She on one hand brings up alot of things that has made me more aware of. Fairies included, but she also brings up a lot of questions. Things that later in the book were different in the begining. I guess it's all more on an opinion based level. I would like to read more of what she has to say but at the same time reading one book seemed all too contradictory, but on the other hand seemed to make you think and later an explanation occurs.

I guess in my opinion it's brave for other people to judge one's abilities. We don't know what another is capable of and due to the fact she is high profile....could be that it's not her that is in charge but those who have her on the shows. Also, aren't we all human even if we have a higher calling. doesn't mean we are perfect....isn't that why we are here is to learn and expand our knowledge and understanding. No one is ever 100% correct and if they are I'd really like to meet them.....so as far as she comes in my opinion...bless her and helping the people like us who are trying to become more spiritual....bring a better understanding to the world who make us feel a little awkard.

Love and light

Sylvia Browne has nothing more special than any normal human. She has the gift, but she relies too much on cold reading.

Well, she definately isn't a psychic according to lots of sites, google her name with the words "scam" or "fake" and you will find proof.

That does however not mean there's no truth in what she says or writes.. but she has been contradicting herself a lot about for instance what happens after suicide. There's proof, look it up ..

I suggest you read some of her works and decide for yourself. You could probably find most of her stuff at the public library if you want to reserve investment.
Just because one is gifted musically doesnt mean they play all the notes perfectly. I am sure most psychics would be the first to admit they are not perfect. I personally have read most of her works and studied tried to consider all sides by looking into the fraud websites online. I think if you gain something by what she has to say, take it with you. If not, let it go. It doesn't hurt to be more informed.

Very good point msrmusick.

We all learn from one another all of the time. I haven't read this lady, but she may well have some helpful hints. And if not, then there's a lesson in discernment there.

I picked up one of Sylvia's books a year or so ago and began reading it, but found it didn't resonate with me at all. I think it's all a matter of personal opinion...some people love Sylvia, some don't. I tend to be in the latter half. Yet for all I could say about her that I don't care for, someone else could say the exact opposite...so the only way to really know is to try her books yourself. My opinion of Sylvia tended to fall when I began listening to her on the radio...I found many inconsistencies in what she was saying, as well as her own verbal discrediting of other professionals' beliefs, and her readings - after listening to her for months - became extremely repetitious (her main responses to questions about career or health tended to be: "you will be getting into real estate" or "healing" or "writing" (for career); and "take lethicin", or "go on an all-protein diet", or "it's your thyroid" (for health)). In one case a woman called and told her that she'd been suffering from abdominal pain for months. Without asking the woman of her medical history, or if she'd seen a doctor, Sylvia's advice to her was "lie over the end of your bed and do stomach crunches". And a friend's cousin did have a reading done by Sylvia a couple of years ago, and was greatly dissatisfied...not one thing in the reading was accurate. That's a lot of error for a $700.00 reading (or however much she paid...I believe it was around that amount).

I must say that I don't disagree with everything Sylvia says or believes in, but her inaccuracies, her 'disses' of other professionals, and an attitude that does come across to me as arrogance are all enough to keep me from ever buying into any of her books, appearances, or readings. There's so much more I could write about my views of Sylvia Browne, but as I said, they're my views, which could be totally different from someone else's. The only way you will know if Sylvia is right for you is to check her out for yourself. Perhaps check out a local library and see if any of her books are there, or go to a bookstore and browse through the first few pages of one or more of her books...you should be able to get a sense of whether it will resonate with you or not.
