Just wondering, what did you wanna be when you were young? And, what did you end up being and what do you think now about what the profession that you wanted to be?

I wanted to be a nurse until I found out that they gave shots. Then I wanted to be an actress, well you know how that is. But I ended up being a tour guide, which I love because I get to travel. Yeah, me!

Pretty cool...I had a friend in High school who wanted to be an astronaut...good ol days. I've always wanted to do something with computers and websites but never had a chance to..I had to teach myself all I know (which isn't all that much on the techy side of it)..but...I'm glad I still work on websites and computers...(not perfect) but...you get the idea...It's such a great feeling to work on something you love and want to as opposed to something you have to.

This is something that is often asked.

My problem is I don't have an answer. I don't remember wanting to really do anything when I was younger. I honestly didn't have any aspirations towards a profession at all. I guess I kind of thought I would be a stay at home mom...take care of the kids, house, bills, play with volunteering positions.

(Maybe that is my dream job) It is pretty much a full time position! (Just no pay)

Unfortunately I ended up in the Insurance field. (Blech!) Now I am hoping to find some sort of direction in spiritual/psychic fields.

All my life (well ever since I remember..till grade 11 or end of it) I wanted to be an engineer. In grade 12, I completely didn't know what I wanted to do..well actually even today I do not know if what I am doing is something I wanted/want.
But, by the time I graduated high school, I had few options left (with the courses I had taken and how I'd prioritized them)..so I just ended up taking engineering. I still regret not keeping my options open back then...(but I was dead sure what I wanted to do)...

I always wanted to me a nurse,..ever since I can remember I would "dress -up" as one and have my mom buy those medical kits. Now, I am one. It's funny though, I no longer work at the bedside like I always dreamed of,..I work on the administrative end of it.

I knew from a very young age(6,7,8) that I wanted to help people . I used to visualize/fantasize that impoverished famlies would be waiting for me to come home and take care of them. I also enjoyed writting poems.
I wanted to go Into nursing @ 18 and I became a CNA. I got discouraged easily by the BS and noticed It wasn't about patient care It was about the $$$$$$$$ So I lept Into foodservice and did It all (12 years)Then I realized Everythings BS and $$$$$ rules. I've matured and can tolerate BS much better now. I have returned to school to pursue a nursing career again.Hopefully I'll have the oppurtunity to travel and help lots of folks.
(Instead of feeding BS)

Yeah...I think I know what you mean. I have my "dream" job I guess...and there's nothing more I want atm than just quit it. I don't know what I'd like to do though.

Well, when I was young I wanted to be an astronaut. But now I've taken more to art. I'm still in college right now, so I'm not really sure what I want to do. Ideally I think video game design would be awesome, but really anything dealing with animation for movies, TV, websites, etc. would be cool too.
