Default Bridge Collapse As Metaphor
does anyone have any thoughts about this: can it be that events like the minneapolis bridge collapse can be seen as a metaphor for the falling away of “the old way?” by “the old way” i mean seemingly outmoded ways of ordering the world including engaging in war, traditional religious thought, business, science, etc.
i got a message from a friend in minnesota who commented that he drove across that bridge daily and never gave it a second thought. i see this as a metaphor for an almost blind reliance on old structural concepts that can no longer hold true. imagine all the people who are now collectively realizing that they relied upon the "bridge" to get them from one point to another, but who were suddenly jarred into the understanding that the bridge was not structurally sound. we can apply the “100th monkey effect” and say that if enough people question (perhaps subconsciously) their reliance on the “old structures,” the collective consciousness will change.
this is not to say that people should be in fear while driving across bridges. as we know, spreading fear is not a good way of creating positive change. nor am i suggesting that the collapse was a good thing or that we should see it as a good thing. if the bridge collapse is seen as a metaphor (and not in dualistic "good" or "bad" terms) it might be said that the people who lost their lives did so voluntarily. ? ?
thanks for your ideas!

you certainly make some valid and well-thought-out points, but i believe that each and every one of us will view this event thru our own personality-colored glasses. what's important to realize is that all events like this can serve as a catalyst toward positive understanding and growth.

i also think that there was a subtle message here that it was no accident that it collapsed when it did. the news media kept saying that if it had happened just an hour earlier, there would have been at least twice (maybe 3 times) as many cars on it. this seemingly defies the laws of physics, because one would certainly think that it would collapse when it had the most weight on it. hmmm....

i have some odd thought about it, so please bear with me here:

there's the saying, "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of god." (matthew 19:24)

so possibly the bridge failed because someone was penny wise and pound foolish.

the hebrew word "gimel" relates to the word "camel" in the essence of the "bridge", getting stuff from here to there.

one of the most important bridges seems within the human mind, called the "corpus callosum", which "bridges" the cerebral hemispheres.

so the breakdown in the minneapolis bridge may be related to a masculine trait, i.e. a breakdown in the bridging between the cerebral hemispheres that allows things like penny wise and pound foolishness.

and hence a difficulty in entering the kingdom of god because the minneapolis bridge has fallen apart.

yeah im from minnesota and was guided to take the last exit and go a long way to an interview instead of taking 35w. i was going to be late for the interview and would have been in the middle of the bridge when it collapsed but decided to take the last exit available instead of crossing. the wierd thing is the bridge is so huge it didnt even occur to me or many others that it was a bridge until it collapsed. many metaphors could be relavent here.

bless your heart, walle. i'm glad you're safe.

earth situations as metaphores suitable for conscious interpretations. exciting, and far from being a figment of the imagination.

i would like to share the site http://www.goroadachi.com/etemenanki that is owned by a guy who has been tracing these ideas for a long time. he's come up with remarkable results. go have a look. his members-only payed site is http://www.supertorchritual.com of which i'm proud to be subscribed.

messages of consciousness inside our media and news. consciously or unconsciously submitted, i have no clue. but the pattern has been staggering and there are many layers in which this can be investigated. "enki's whispers" is how goro calls this

in joy, namaste,
mark.

i am certainly not disagreeing with your point, but that quote is one of the most misunderstood quotes of the bible. you see, back in those days, the main city gates were closed at nightfall, so if you came home late you had to use one of the small side entrances. one of them in particular was so small that in order for a camel to get thru, it would literally have to get down on it's knees, and sorta crawl thru. this gate was commonly known as "the eye of a needle".

i think it's important to note that the only way for the camel to get thru was to literally get down on your knees.
