david, i just want to point out that some of the "guests" could be memebers who are not logged in. i am constantly getting logged off from this forum, in which case i will appear as a guest. even though i check the "remember me" box i still get logged off and it doesn't seem to remeber as my login info disappears. because of this, i only login when i want to make a post - not for reading posts.
