Default 360 degree vision during AP/OBE....
Hi

Just wondering if anyone else has pondered this before. RB correctly points out in astral Dynamics that we achieve 360 degree vision OOB. This is 100% correct from personal experience. Does this mean that we are actually 'Spheres' of consciousness? I think so. How many times have we seen orbs in ghost photos etc. Ladies and Gents, we are spheres.

It depends. To be a sphere you have to have form. Some energy bodies are described as having some sort of form, while others (like the mental body) are said to have no form. So, like so much in this field, it depends.
I think so. How many times have we seen orbs in ghost photos etc. Ladies and Gents, we are spheres. Or at least that part of us that manifests as energy. The rest? Maybe.... or maybe not.

In Astral Dynamics, Robert mentions that the projectable double is actually a point of consciousness, even if it's not immediately apparent -- the melting hands phenomenon is one of the supporting arguments to the theory that our "astral body" is just an image created by the mind, not an human-shaped energetic structure (as opposed to the etheric body, I would assume).

I think a point is very fitting... An atomic, sizeless, formless spot... It may not even be located anywhere in particular geographically... It could be purely mental...

How does "360 degree vision" translate to "we are spheres of consciousness"? If we didn't have such vision - say, if we could only see an area in front of us, even with astral vision (not that this is the case), would that mean we would be "cones of consciousness"? What would being a sphere or any other shape even mean, and what would it imply?

Well if consciousness is everywhere, why do we take the vantage point OOB of lets say 'looking through a glass ball'? i think it comes down to we are all points of consciousness observing through different lenses. Its all an illusion anyway, its just so we can experience seperation from the pure stream of consciousness.
