Very strange experience earlier today!

I lay down for a mid-afternoon nap, doing a little bit of sinus energy work (which has been an ongoing thing these past few months). Very normal kind of weekend afternoon... my cat was napping by my feet, and my fiance' stepped into the shower after a day spent in the backyard planting new grass.

I was lying there listening to the shower water running and thinking that I was wide awake. I started to feel a vibration building near my ear, but I still felt like it was something that was totally normal, maybe some energy work aftereffects. But the vibration continued to escalate in intensity to the point of almost being unbearable, and just as it reached that point, the energy peaked...

And loud chiming bells went off in that ear. Like little jangling temple bells.

What is THAT!? I wondered. Some kind of clairaudience opening? Some kind of intense healing? (That ear was damaged by a tumor)

This was definitely NOT astral noise, imho, because it was occurring deeply inside my ear, was almost deafeningly loud, and most definitely a result of that energy/vibration "peaking" in my ear... like an avalanche being set off inside my head.

This peaking occurred in several waves, each time the energy surged and crested, it resulted in a burst of harmonic noises... one time rather than bells it crested as a loud beep.

I could still hear the shower going so I thought I was awake, but it's apparent that I was not fully physically conscious...

It was basically starting to feel like I was lying on a big white fuzzing / sparking electric ball of energy, and that ball of energy couldn't remain undynamic now that it was "charged" so it started moving across the bed and dragging me with it, by the ear!

At the same time, I saw what I thought was my younger brother standing in the bedroom and I thought "oh no... this is a bad time to be projecting, I need to talk to him" so I stopped it from happening. (Rats!) I wasn't quite as awake and rational as I thought it was, apparently. How convincing that astral self / dweller phenomenon can be, lol!

It was very strange, the way I was lying / attached to this fuzzing ball and how it started to pull me out of body, sideways across the sheets... I even saw a brief flash of sunny pillow.

This is not the first time that an area of energy body got "supercharged" and couldn't remain stable and launched me into a projection, but it never ceases to amaze me when things like this happen.

But the ear thing, what the heck? I felt like I totally had blown something there WIDE open. It was uh... rather ear-[insert non family board word, lol]mic.

I think your choice of title explains it quite well, lol. I have seen energy manifestations such as the one you've described, only for me it was in the chest region. I do think it was astral noise, regardless of where you located it- the fact that you had a past problem in the area tells me that maybe that's how you focus on that area.
Can you hear from that ear naturally? If not, can you now? Lol.

I think my reluctance to call it astral noise was that it was so closely tied to the vibrations peaking inside my ear... much like you might hear the vibrations as well as feel them when you're pre-OBE. (Though come to think of it, the phenomenon may just be too interrelated to separate... the vibrations might sound like a train crash or a wind storm, and though you're the origination of the vibrations, the sounds you are hearing could accurately be called astral noise.) I just wanted to be careful to stress that it wasn't random environment noise that I was hearing, but that it was tied to the energy manifestation occurring in that area at the time. Every energetic peak was associated with a bell sound.

I have about 80% of my hearing in that ear (depending on the range) and have noticed no big physical changes, so if any change occurred it was on the energetic side. If a 3rd eye opening could be perceived as a visual flash of light, would a similar ear opening be perceived as a sound? LOL. If a tree fell in the forest would it make a noise if no one were around to hear it?

Could you expand a bit on the manifestations you had in your chest area? Did they lead to projections?

Could you expand a bit on the manifestations you had in your chest area? Did they lead to projections? Yeah, it was the first time I tried rope - I was in trance, and I felt the buzzlike vibrations. After going up and down my body, the vibrations coalesced in my chest area as I pulled, and it sounded like a rat-a-tat right on my chest, and I could see a column of energy swirling (like a whirpool of swirling energy), and felt like a rotating vibrating thing-sort of like those WW-2 hand-cranked machine-gun things that hung from airplanes in the movies. It felt heavy and I was elevating myself against the energy column. Then all of a sudden there was a loud 'pop' (like a cork popping) and I was floating away and the noises and physical manifestations ceased, and I had no body awareness whatsoever.
Sort of like that- a physical feeling.
