So I had taken some sleeping pills and was laying across the top of my bed watching TV and waiting to drift off. I noticed that when I glanced over to my thigh it appeared to have ghosty writing on it. Several ppl here have mentioned this phenomenon, seeing writing on the wall, on the pillow, or whatever they happen to be looking at, as they are either drifting off to sleep or waking up.

I decided, hey, I wonder if this is what ppl see when scrying - so I grabbed a piece of white paper and tried looking at it. That didn't work so well, so I grabbed a piece of black construction paper.

I started seeing the ghostly writing on it (not clear enough to read.) Then it little white flecks appeared around the edges of the paper. Then the white flecks appeared all over the paper. Then the paper itself looked like it had a pattern of rose vines imprinted into it.

It was amazing, because it looked like it was really there! And I knew it wasn't.

Then shapes were popping up out of the paper. Like 3D. All this time there was a sort of gray cloud floating over the page. I decided to try and stick my hands into it. The energy climbed up my hands! And I could see it. It was fuzzy and black like static electricity. It had a texture to it like sponge foam. And it tingled. I could feel and see it!

I could also see the aura of my hands. Violet. I knew I must have shifted into astral sight. I pulled my hands out, and began to study the page. I was looking at the rose vine pattern again. I noticed my breathing had slowed down considerably, and my heart chakra was going fast. I knew I must have reached some deep meditative state.

Then I started seeing what looked like flecks of glitter all over the page. And occasionally 3D shapes or ghosty writing that I couldn't quite read. I couldn't seem to get much further than that and decided it was a pretty good start.

One trick I kept doing was to pretend I was looking at a mirror instead of a sheet of paper, searching for my own reflection on the surface of the paper.

It was just like those "magic eye" pictures that were so popular in the 90's. You look at the printed pattern and a picture pops out, like a boat or the statue of liberty or something. The trick to those was to put a sheet of glass over the picture and look at your own reflection- then the 3D picture would pop out.

I've seen "writing on the wall" before... usually upon waking up suddenly. I remember at least once where it was like there was an ancient looking scroll with text superimposed over the wall above my window across the room. Have never been able to hold the image long enough to see if it actually said anything, though; I don't even know if that one was in english.

This also brings to mind a period of several weeks a few years ago. Every time I would nod off in front of some sort of screen (TV, movie, projector, computer) and pop awake again, there would be a line of letters and/or numbers scrolling across the screen that weren't "really" there. Reminded me of something out of the Matrix. I remember this happening with my TV, watching a movie on a laptop at my ex's, and in class watching some documentary... so it wasn't location-specific. I was really sleep deprived for those few weeks which probably accounts for a lot, but I did think it was interesting that the same phenomenon was happening semi-often, and hasn't since. At one point I was even trying to zone out deliberately to make this happen and see if I could get some sort of message out of it. I did get it to happen on purpose a few times, but they were always scrolling by too fast and faded away too soon to see if there was any sort of message.

The moral of the story... if some Supreme Intelligence from the Great Beyondâ„¢ is trying to send my sleep deprived arse messages... it needs to try a little harder.

Sometimes I see strange symbols. Don't know if it is another language or what. I do get the sense that they have to do with either something I knew in a past life or something I am currently learning in those strange nighttime OBEs where I am in a classroom with beings of pure energy.

While conscious, I have no idea what the symbols mean, but they give me goosebumps, like deep down I understand. I always say in my mind OK guys, if you want me understand you're gonna have to put it another way...

I have, only on a couple occasions, been able to read the writing. One time it was my name across my pillow, "Leyla," and another time the word "Courtship" was written across my right wrist. So I know it is possible to see these messages if only one can train their astral eyes.

More on that ghost writing: According to a Graham Hancock interview, the information is being downloaded into our "hard drive," whether or not we can read the ghost writing at the time of the download. So it's in there, for when you need it later.

I, however, would like to read at least some of it as it's being downloaded, so I at least know the content of the file.

I think this should be possible over time. Like Robert got glimpses at the Karmic Seeds as well from time to time. So your awareness of the phenomenon should help perceiving more of it over time.
