Last night as I was going to sleep, I felt a very, very subtle sort of shaking sensation and then I found myself weightless. I was in more or less the same position I had been (lying on my side) but I was entirely weightless, with no physical sensations at all (nowhere that hurt, no place where the bed was pressing against me, etc.), just a lovely feeling of complete comfort.
I realised that I was out of my body. I didn't attempt to go anywhere or do anything because, to be honest, I was just really enjoying the comfort of being weightless like that, it was really peaceful. I fell asleep shortly after that, and today, when I reflect on it, I think I have a new perception of what happens with an OBE. Basically, your focus/awareness shifts to your energy body, rather than being focussed on your material body. Am I understanding that correctly? I just want to know, because shifting focus seems to me a lot easier than other methods I've tried. I'm aware of my energy body, and it's not difficult for me to shift my awareness. It is, however, very difficult for me to "leave my body" consciously. If shifting my attention to my energy body will do the trick, I'll concentrate on that and I might have a better chance of conscious projection. |

For me, this aided in my ability to consciously project. |
