Yeah. So, I was attempting to fall asleep just a little while ago and everything was nice and normal. Suddenly, as I reached the borderline of falling asleep, I loudly heard the ticking of a clock ringing through my head. It didn't alarm me at first. Opening my eyes, I still heard it, but when I sat up it was gone. I was silent again for a good while, attempting to hone in on this sound that wasn't there. There isn't a single manual clock in this house. All of them are digital and all of the TVs are off, so I know this had to be something else. Astral hearing, maybe? Ever since I started studying/practicing all of this AP/Meditation stuff I find myself becoming more aware of what sleep state I'm in. It is sorta freaking me out, but at the same time it is really cool.

This never happened to me but I used to hear my alarm clock squeal all the time (in my head while I was sleeping). I have heard it happens to other people, and something I remember reading is the possibility that you are hearing your neighbor's tick-tock clock. Either way I'm sorry- I can imagine how annoying that must be.

I remember reading is the possibility that you are hearing your neighbor's tick-tock clock I think this is what happened. I’ll tell you why from my own experience.
Last week at work I was sitting down. Really zoned out apparently. My eyes were open, and I saw myself get up from the chair. It was just like the scene from Annie Hall if anyone remembers that. I (the me sitting in the chair) started hearing music. I became aware that there was a radio playing in another room. As I watched my double move in the direction of the room, I could hear the music getting louder. I found this humorous (odd sense of humor), so for a while I sent my double back and forth towards the room with the music, while I listened to it get louder and then quieter. Over and over, until it looked like my double was dancing, or at least very confused. It was actually a burst of laughter that jolted me back to full consciousness. |

Yeah. It wasn't really annoying. I hope to increase all of my astral senses. I really would like to work on my third eye stuff and astral sight. I think it would help me navigate and understand how I react to the Astral realm a bit more. I actually remember on a few occasions I could hear my dog breathing and whining in its sleep while I was at the other side of the house meditating.

I think it was hypnagogic sounds.
It used to happen to me a lot before. I would hear static noises, people talking, cupboards being opened and closed (while I was alone in the house) or music. I even heard a gong once and since I knew we didn't have any in the house, used it to WILD myself into a lucid dream. |
