Well, last night was a milestone for me and my OBE practice.
for the past few weeks i rarely have been trying to consiously have an OBE, but almost every night i have been hearing astral sound i guess i could say. The sound is very annoying and is like a shrill ringing noise sometimes accompanied with gibberish. I have been generally freaked out by this noise and can tune it out if i want to. But last night was different. I decided to intensify the noise and attempt an OBE sometime in the middle of the night when i woke up. I guess OBE's just come natural to me because from what happened i could be having these OBE's every night. As i let it intensify it suddenly ceased and my body felt really light. so i used the rolling technique and stumbily rolled out my bed. I wasnt sure if i was even in an OBE or not. it felt like a lucid dream because i ran into my brother on his bed across from mine and he reacted to it, which really scared me and made me think i was actually awake and moving. But the question i have is this. In these "OBE's things react to me like a lucid dream. but i consiously felt myself leaving my body. any answers for that? i wont go into much detail about what i did in the "OBE/Lucid Dream" but i felt much more in control than in previous OBE's. i wasnt very concerned about my physical body rather trying to reach the astral. i hope somebody here can draw some conclusions from what i have written but i think i have reached the point where i can have these every night or so. i actually had two that night. thanks for reading and if you have any feedback, concerns, etc... let me know. thanks, DRO |

But the question i have is this. In these "OBE's things react to me like a lucid dream. but i consiously felt myself leaving my body. There is more than one possible explanation. What you experienced isn't unusual as far as these things go. You were most likely OB (as you felt the exit) and either 1. You saw your brother who was also projecting. (He may or may not remember this). or 2. You were OB but started dreaming and only a small part of the OBE was recalled, the remaining memories that were "downloaded" were dream memories of your brother. I guess OBE's just come natural to me because from what happened i could be having these OBE's every night. It is a belief shared by many (myself included) that we do project everynight but that these memories are lost or obscured by dream experiences. This is why many seek the consciously-induced OBE (which still may end up in dreaming, of course) |
