Hey everyone,
First post here! I've just recently, actually in the last 3 days, become interested in Astral Projection. I've never really been this excited about anything. I'm really anxious to learn to do this. I've been reading the articles by Robert Bruce, and I'm really enjoying them. So far, I've tried to get into the trance state twice. I just want to do this and practice staying in that state before I try actually projecting. Anyways, I have some questions: 1. When doing the tense & relax exercise, does it matter if my eyes are open or closed? 2. I'm having trouble feeling myself going down after I'm clear of thoughts. I've tried imagining I'm going down a ladder, and on a lift, but neither work. Can someone give me some tips on this part? 3. How obvious is it when you get into a trance? Will I know for sure? Or is it kinda hard to notice? 4. Any extra tips to make it easier? Thanks a lot! CougarElite |

Hey everyone, First post here! It doesn't, but once you're done with relaxing and energy exercises, when you decide to do the trance practice, I recommend closing them then. 2. I'm having trouble feeling myself going down after I'm clear of thoughts. I've tried imagining I'm going down a ladder, and on a lift, but neither work. Can someone give me some tips on this part? Instead of 'imagining', try to remember how it is to go down the lift. If you can't, try to do an up and down movement (in waking reality) and remember having done it. That's worked for me. Also: Think of a leaf slowly going down, or a feather, but the feeling of up or downwards movement is better, IMO. There is also a visualization of smoke rings going up around you. You can try that. 3. How obvious is it when you get into a trance? Will I know for sure? Or is it kinda hard to notice? It's not really obvious, but when you get to the hypnagogic state, you're in some sort of trance. 4. Any extra tips to make it easier? Energy work and dream recall work helps. Thanks a lot! No no no, thank you. Good luck. |
